I feel like a bomb was dropped on me with this episode!

Who’s that poor courtesan who’s suffering in bed at the Verdigris house?

Laken is Maomao’s biological father?! …and she knew!!!

How much more information is Maomao holding back from us?

AHHHH!

I advice you to rewatch this episode and absorb every bit of dialog and image. This one of the most important episodes of the season. Every detail is important to things to come. About the sick courtesan. In the anime, her condition is tone down or is strategically hide because, in the ligth novel, the description of her condition is more detailed and...it's not pretty. A hint, her nose is always hide by the hair in the anime.....imagine the rest. Yes!...Granny was foiine!! HA HA... Wait for season 2 to know more.

Yep, the confirmation episode of Maomao being the daughter of Lakan. When I watched the show the first time, I already thought of that, since Lakan insisted about how he knew a courtesan of the Verdigris house back in the day, beautiful enough that he wanted her and talk about how to lower the value of a courtesan, that Maomao explain that a baby is the best way to drop it almost to zero. Also, Lakan came into Jinshi's office more and more after Jinshi bought Maomao, that is another clue. Now, without spoiler, you will have the full story, let just say that if you're surprised right now, you're not ready ^^. As for the next episode, I can't wait for your reaction to it too, let's just say that before watching the show, I saw just two clips of it on instagram that convinced me to look into it, the first one was the slap, the second clip come from the next episode.

At the end i like Lakan! But yes, Loumen is adoptive father for Maomao, and she knows perfectly who her real parents are, and she has a grudge against Lakan..

This was a fun reaction. It’s rare when someone doesn’t have any inkling of the Lakan reveal. I was so excited to see it and you didn’t disappoint!
