The first episode? Chaos.

This episode? Hilarious chaos!

I feel bad that I couldn't help but laugh at the deaths of some of the members as they made their way down to "Guild."

My favorite death? Fujimaki...Fujimaki telling Otonashi that he would die next only to die in the next scene all because HE CAN'T SWIM was gold.

Yuri's story is heartbreaking, but now I cam curious about how she died. And if her siblings are dead, where are they? Have they passed on from this purgatory they are in?

I recommend skipping the episode synopsis going forward, I feel like there could be some pretty big spoilers, and the show is best experienced in the moment

The next episode has the synopsis, but after talking about it on the discord, there will be no more synopsis reading for any anime after. 😅

Just recently I had a revelation of sorts. That ideas are primary, and material things are secondary. This idea is repeated many times in all the Scriptures, and most famously, Plato created that imagery of a cave: ++++++++++++ In the allegory, Plato describes people who have spent their entire lives chained by their necks and ankles in front of an inner wall with a view of the empty outer wall of the cave. They observe the shadows projected onto the outer wall by objects carried behind the inner wall by people who are invisible to the chained “prisoners” and who walk along the inner wall with a fire behind them, creating the shadows on the inner wall in front of the prisoners. The "sign bearers" pronounce the names of the objects, the sounds of which are reflected near the shadows and are understood by the prisoners as if they were coming from the shadows themselves. Only the shadows and sounds are the prisoners' reality, which are not accurate representations of the real world. The shadows represent distorted and blurred copies of reality we can perceive through our senses, while the objects under the Sun represent the true forms of objects that we can only perceive through reason. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegory_of_the_cave It's interesting how difficult is this realization for the majority of people. One of the famous Baha'i philosophers, William Hatcher, described it like this: ++++++++++++ Let us illustrate this truth with a simple analogy. Imagine that we are standing on the shore of an immense ocean. The ocean and its hidden depths represent the immensity of invisible reality. Occasionally a fish jumps out of the ocean into the air and then returns to the ocean. The brief moment during which the fish is out of the water represents a phenomenon of visible reality. ++++++++++++ https://bahai-library.com/pdf/h/hatcher_proof_existence_god.pdf

So, the author of this anime illustrates this truth with this idea, that these guys living in Purgatory can create objects from dirt. Another reference to this, that ideas are primary, and matter is secondary.

I actually rewatched the original Resident Evil not too long ago. It's held up surprisingly well considering how old it is!
