When we got to the part where the girls traveled to Tokyo to see about the expedition, I immediately felt what this show is trying to tell me.

I remember being a kid hanging out at the mall with my friends. We would get up to some antics and it ended up with us running away from a group of "preppy" kids that wanted to jump us because we "looked weird."

The adrenaline, fear...laughter of getting away while watching one of those mean girls trip and fall was so fun! ...I felt like I was living my youth.

I feel like those moments happen at different moments in our lives to remind us we are still alive and there is so much more for us to do while we are here.

This was a beautiful episode!

This show leans pretty heavily on the realism within the story itself, you don't get much in the way of stereotypical anime BS and both decisions & behaviour are always given full justifications. All of Hinata's t-shirts when she's not at work are food themed, so far you've already had an Onigiri rice ball and octopus styled weiner sausage (like you'd typically get in kids bento packed lunches). The 'chase' sequence is gorgeously animated, sequenced and the music fits perfectly. Properly captures the emotion of the occasional wild abandon you'd feel at that age. I do appreciate that both the hostess job advert and the 'seduction' plan were framed more to show they're being clueless & naive teenagers rather than come across as anything too sketchy.
