I think the word you searched was "neet", for the people that aren't in school, unemployed ect ect. For the punch, you will have the story, that all I have to say, so just be patient on that matter ^^. As for the weird scene with the three sunflowers girls presenting themselves for a man, as weird as it seems, it basically a private show. They were hired to perform as idol for this man and maybe some other people that we don't see in the frame. You learned about "chika idol" recently in the Miku documentary, small idol group have to rely on performing in the street, sell ticket by hand and perform gigs like that among other things, since the Sunflower try to start from zero, goes back to their roots, they work like they are a small band that just started. You also see them doing a commercial, that is another part of this "restart" they try to do.

As Spadeas covered, NEET is an acronym for "Not in Education, Employment, or Training" aka. person who is unemployed and not receiving an education or vocational training. It originally came about as a term in the UK in the late 90s, but has become much more established in Japan as a classification covering nearly one million folk aged between 15 & 34. Both Kiui and Kano mostly fit into this category, though Kano is more of a Freeter now with having her part-time job. Kiui lying about being popular and student council president she refers to as 'tough talk' by which she means bluffing to conceal her reality and seem socially well adjusted, both to her streaming audience and equally childhood friend Mahiru (who always relied on her growing up). In Japan being on the student council has more gravitas & social standing than in the US. Kano's sister is in her early to mid-20s and has a rebellious party animal streak going on, maybe combined with some acting out, hence all the 9% Strong Zero alcopops. She's currently a bit of a 'hot mess' to use the appropriate colloquialism. The boy trouble she was bemoaning was to do with someone who works as talent at a Host Club, which is sometimes used as rough anime shorthand for f*ckboi, frequently having narcissistic tendencies and issues with fidelity given their working environment, leading to typical toxic relationship stuff. Presumably Kano went to live with her sister as much to get away from public scrutiny following the incident and a two year gap between releases is an eternity for an idol group, so Sunflower Girls are having to partly restart from the ground up in terms of re-establishing themselves, albeit with record & production company support, with regards to the cardboard cutout bit remember that square footage in shops in Tokyo is at a premium far more than in the States. The songwriting process in places within the show gets somewhat streamlined compared with reality, but that's as much trying to fit everything into twelve episodes. I'm not going to explain more plot points incase I accidentally get into spoiler territory. But I will link to the full MV for this episode's song 'The Moon's Warmth' on the Discord in the anime channel.
