I understand this show, but I don't want to explain why I understand it.

I just believe that all of us have been in this awkward position as a young teenager at one point in our lives that we all can just agree that we can see the sexual and emotional signs in this show.

I LOVE the action. I LOVE the various use of different types of animations. This is such a great show!

So, yeah the first part of the episode is a refrence to Lupin the Third. Wheter it was the talk about the jacket since Lupin's jacket change color depending of the season of the show, the name "Monkey" that came in the episode since the autor of the og manga is called Monkey Punch (RIP to him, sadly passed away in april 2019), but even the gag with Naota's father jumping out of his cloth and getting punched is a classic gag in Lupin. For "chu", there is two things. First, the last time with the cat episode, since one of Naota was disguise as a mouse, he used chu because it is their way to make a mouse/mice sound, the squeaky sound, which is also used to talk about a kiss, maybe for the same squeaky sound ^^. So it was a japanese pun. As for Haruka in a bunny outfit, it's also a reference to Daicon IV, while Haruka say Daicon V. Daicon III and Daicon IV are two short animated movie made by art student from Osaka for the 20th japanese science fiction festival in 1981, some of this student will later found studio Gainax, the same studio that did FLCL, but Daicon III and IV are also know as really important to the animation history in japan, so it's a double reference, for the original works first, and the studio second.

Chu is an onomatopoeia for the sound of a kiss so it’s like kiss kiss kiss
