I thought the fungus that they were talking about in this episode was going to be "Dead Man's Fingers." If you want to see gross fungus, look that up.

The twist is crazy here, but I feel bad for Tao who filled in for Jin when she was allegedly murdered by her ladies in waiting...but then how is Concubine Son suffering the same side effects?

There has to be more to this mystery!

So for the chronology : - Son contracted illness, supposedly by poisoning from Jin - Jin's death happen and Tao take her place - Tao is killed by poisoning by the other ladies in waiting But yeah, a lady in waiting that took the place of a concubine because they lookalike is a wild story. As for the teaser, it's not Kanami who is said, but Kagami, which is the words for mirror. It's just one letter so yeah, that sound pretty close ^^ (and if I'm not mistaken, the "gami" part is derived from "kami" which mean god). But now I wonder, Aka mean red in japanese, so maybe the aka in Akane is for red (and after a little research, Akane mean "deep red"). But funfact about how Kanami is written in japanese, that I just searched for funsies, the first character for "Ka" mean "song, sing" and the second character for "Nami" mean "waves" (it's the same in tsunami for exemple).

Is it me or is Maumau slowly maturing in appearance?
