Feifa is a word the author of the novel use, it's an old word used for primitiv gun. Also just to clear some of the episode, it would be said later, but it wouldn't be as clear. So, Jinshi is here as Kousen, the prince, younger brother of the emperor, the one that is usually sick and not very often seen in public. Gaoshun is here on behalf of "Jinshi", since Jinshi and Kousen aren't the same person for most of the people. Also, about Basen and the food, Maomao said the food was "invigorating", to gently say that it active some appetite, appetite that an ennuch could have but couldn't do anything about it, but Jinshi isn't an ennuch, so that why he don't want to eat the food and get a suprise boner (instead of a no reason boner to quote a certain song lol). Basen in the meantime get the full experience, the nosebleed is an indicator and him wanting to go to his room another one, but remember, aphrodisiac don't work on Maomao, we've seen it with the chocolat incident back in season one, when the ladies in waiting of Gyokuyou took some and "didn't ga all the way" like Maomao said ^^'.
