Hola Familia!

Happy weekend! I am in full swing of summer now that I have done one full week of lessons with my students. It’s gonna be a nice and easy summer. I would like to say I would be traveling and such, but I don’t mind being at home. I like me a good staycation! That also means more time with you guys! YAY!

We are on to the next song, “At the Drop of a Hat.” This album is turning out to be a very different album and while different can be uncomfortable at times it can also be a breath of fresh air. So far I am enjoying the dive and we aren’t even half way yet!

🔹Unleash the Archers - “Together We Ride”

This band had me floored when I heard them the first time. I was told that their singer really shines in this song, so I am excited to check it out. I mean, with a name like Brittany “Slayes”, how could you not kill it on vocals?!

🔹Moyun - “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC and reacting to “The Largest Flute in China”

A double reaction is coming this week in the form of looking at the largest flute in China. Look...you show me a huge flute, and I’m in! It also gives me a reason to show you some big flutes! The other reaction we have is from Mo Yun playing AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” on guzheng. Again, playing great music on world instruments? I am in!

I’m really excited about this since I forget how awesome this performance is from the few songs that I have seen done in this okyuji. I cannot wait to hear the differences and similarities from the studio version!
