Madam Maids...RELEASE AN ACOUSTIC ALBUM! It will sell!

This is one of the best performances that they have done and the beauty of the acoustic sound gives us an opportunity to hear everything.

Or maybe even do a small tour with intimate setting performances.

Hey look! It's a hat! Pick that up :p ... This song does not get a ton of love I suspect because of the tempo ... but they can't all be rockers ... sometimes you just want to mellow out ;) .

Don't know why this "concert" doesn't is an album on their own. I buy it eyes closed. Love this Christmas Acoustic.

It does but only available to fan club members as was one of the 2024 acoustic concerts. the only 2 live albums we've had from them sadly.

Band Maid has done acoustic shows, have done 2 CDs that were limited to Omeisyusama - the later is from 2024 at Line Cube Shibuya. Last April they did 2 acoustic shows in Osaka and Tokyo, 2 sets for each day. These were performed at Billboard Live. If you do not have these shows I recommend getting them. As much as I love Band Maids "harder music", I also love their acoustic versions of their songs. They are not just acoustic renditions of the songs, they re-arrange them so, to my ear at least, they almost sound like new songs. On a different and fun note, have you seen the latest after party video on the fan page.

Another underappreciated gems from the maids. The full electric version they did at the Medium in Summer show was really good. Kanami added a pretty outro solo at the end.

The ladies have released two CDs of their acoustic concerts to date, but they could only be obtained through their website since they were limited editions for the Omeisyusama. One of them is still in their web page under the link DISCOGRAPHY. If you click on it you get the phrase: "This product is a limited reservation product of "O-MEI-SYU SAMA NO KAI". Even if it is out of stock, we plan to regularly resell it in the future. We will inform you about the sales method later." Well, who knows!

The Billboard Live venues that David Cousins mentions are dinner theaters with tables and food and drink. They also had a dress code.

They did exactly what you described in their Billboard Osaka Acoustic show for a few hundred well-dressed people on April 13, 2025, where they gave an intimate acoustic performance while the audience ate dinner and drank wine and beer. I have the two released acoustic concert CDs (Christmas acoustic from 2022 and March 2024 acoustic)- you can have them too if you buy them the next time they are offered for sale.

This is such a perfect song. The whole Christmas Acoustic album is beautiful and I was not really a huge fan of acoustic music before this. They own me over. This is now my most played Band Maid album. It is massage for the soul from start to finish

NittPicc, be sure to check out Band Maid merch on their site. They will sometimes re-release older albums when they have a new merch release. I have seen the Christmas Acoustic on resale on occasion.

Although this bass part is lovely and similar to the studio version, it's veeery different in spots -- no high-neck bass chords for example (which nobody seems to notice). I'd call this bass part a little less counter-melody-y probably because the acoustic guitars can't carry the melody as strongly, so Misa mostly gets crazy when Saiki's holding down the melody. Got my copy of this album on ebay.

There are at least 35 different songs that have had an acoustic version played at some point: https://drivetimebm.github.io/BAND-MAID_reports/Reports/Songs%20With%20Acoustic%20Versions.pdf They did an acoustic set at Line Cube Shibuya in spring of 2024. That set and this Christmas acoustic were both offered as livestreams and CDs to fan club members. In 2025 they did 4 intimate sets over 2 nights in Tokyo and Osaka. A superset of those sets was later available as a stream to fan club members. This has not been released as a CD however.

I personally love their more mellow and ballady works. And Conqueror was the first album I fell in love with. Still gorgeous to me.
