Punk music can be about many things, but this one song was one of those kinds where you're here to listen to it for a good and fun time.

The video is cute and funny, and the music is driving, exciting and fun! There is room for audience participation with the chorus so I felt compelled to sing along.

I love this kind of punk music!

Where is this kind of punk music today?

Too fast to live, too young to die. YES! No Brain is still an active band. You can look for the song "That's Youth" that you will love ... the Rolling Quartz song featuring lead singer Lee Sung-woo (AKA Bulldaegal) is "Nazababara" ... you can't miss him at the winner of some sort of fan contest where he receives tickets to a Rolling Quartz show :p . The band actually formed in 1996 ... before any type of rock was popular in Korea and before K-Pop. I lived there in the early 90's and finding anything other than a pretty bar girl singing perfect covers to American music was really rare. Lots of "improper things" were also banned there as it was a very "proper" society ... as an example George Michaels hugely popular song "I want your sex" was banned and could not even be played in a bar. Try to imagine the reaction to punk rock there ... The band does still contain all the original members: Bulldaegal (이성우; Lee Sung-woo) – vocals VOVO (정민준; Jeong Min-jun) – guitar BBogle (정우용; Jeong Woo-yong) – bass guitar Hyoonga (황현성; Hwang Hyun-seong) – drums There is also an addendum about Punk Rock on Korean television ... an incident that still prevents airing some music and acts to this day. Allow me to copy and paste as much as you know I hate it: *The biggest rock music controversy on Korean television was the infamous "Music Camp" nudity incident in 2005, which effectively blacklisted the underground punk and rock scene from live broadcasts for years. The 2005 "Music Camp" Incident During a live, nationwide broadcast on the major network MBC, the punk band RUX invited several friends from the indie band Couch to perform. At the end of the song, two members of Couch stripped naked and danced exposed to the camera for about six seconds before producers cut away.* Now based upon what I wrote above you can imagine the fallout: The broadcast was instantly halted, the show Music Camp was permanently canceled, and the musicians were arrested by police on charges of obscenity. Mainstream TV networks placed an effective de facto ban on underground rock bands and unvetted live performers. The incident forced networks to implement mandatory tape-delays for live shows and led to strict censorship over the types of artists allowed on mainstream airwaves, so it was a huge deal and very detrimental to independent music there. Call it an overreaction. This is part of the reason Mirrorball is so important. These bands have zero local exposure and Mirrorball is a global distributor for indie Korean music still shunned in the local market. Imagine being a band now that plays this type of music trying to earn a living or realize any sort of fame. No Brain are known as the Godfathers of punk in the Korean market along with Crying Nut.

By the way there is no direct translation for the title of the song which is why you'll see several variations ... the same goes for the name of the band which can also be seen as "Angry Brain" ...

Rhythm guitar (chug-beat) is a bit chunkier than typical Pop-punk/Power-pop. Almost reminds me of 80s thrash guitar tones.
