The amount of panic that washed over me when I heard the first few seconds of this performance was insane.

Please...am I crazy? There's another acoustic version of this, right? RIGHT?!?

I'm not making this up?

...also...the acoustic really wins me over. The instrumentals are insanely beautiful accompanying Saiki's voice.

...and Misa...

I'll leave it there!

Nittpic. The official music video of this song is a "live" one that is slightly different from the studio version. Maybe is that what is troubling you.

MISA's bass adds so much soul to their music. I honestly feel she would be very comfortable in a jazz or blues ensemble. I jokingly call her the "Japanese Soul Sister"!

My guess is you either are remembering your reaction to Awkward which had just the trio for acustic; or you let the video keep running and heard Wonderland into, which was the next song.

Maybe Princess Nittpicc heard part of this in one of Ohrenje's videos???

I think what makes the Japanese language so great to the ear when being sung is that most(all?) the words end in vowels therefore no harsh endings. The only other acoustic performances of Wonderland are from the Line Cube Shibuya acoustic show in Mar '24 and Tokyo Billboard Live acoustic show in Aug '25. Both were full band performances. You either cheated or saw it in one of Ohrenje vids.

The Official Live is what you're probably thinking, it was from the 2020 LINE Cube Shibuya performance. Saiki's vocals are really close to the performance. The special edition "World Domination Tour" BD package had two versions, one was the performance and the second was the same live, but with all the members commenting about each song was it played. It was pretty funny. for "Wonderland" we learned some important information about Saiki's voice. One of the fans translated the entire conversation into English and provided it to the reddit group. Here's a link to the full translation, it's too long to quote here, but if you do use the link, just do a search for "Wonderland". Thank you once again for another fine reaction!

Again, Band-Maid showing 3/5's of this band are as good or better than most bands at full strength! So great, especially done this way!

Lyrically and vocally, I have learned to appreciate them as another instrument added to this amazing band!

Misa is thunder and velvet, a bassist for all roads. I'm packing my bags, guys, in a few hours I'm flying to Paris. World Domination indeed!

There they are again, the undisputed angels of vocal duos. ❤️‍🔥 And even on acoustic guitar, Kanami can’t help but shred her heart out. 🤭 And no, you’re not the only one who thinks the Japanese language has something really special about how it sounds/flows. Maybe I’m a little biased as a guy, but especially when it’s spoken by most women (for reasons I won’t necessarily include Fami from LB in that category 😂), I could listen for hours even though I don’t understand a single word.

daft73

Possibly you saw the full band rendition they did in their more recent acoustic show.

Eno L

Lol.... Fami the fastest talking bassist in the world.... And also the bassist with the brightest smile. 🥰

It's not weird, does the same for me 🤘
