LoneStar Avenger

Himmel loved Frieren too soon and Frieren loved Himmel too late, but they did love each other. Perfectly illustrated by this scene Frieren and Himmel separated by the clocktower. i.e. Time.

The emotional exploration is definitely the main reason this show has kept me attached. I tear up even during re-watches when I know what's coming. That being said, seeing you set yourself up within the episode to be devastated later within the same episode is funny (I mean that in the most caring way possible because I experienced the same thing during my initial watch). Frieren's VA is also very talented and plays Frieren's aloofness so well. Listening to her play this understated character and contrasting it with some other characters she voices (e.g. the somewhat mischievous Gyokuyou in Apothecary Diaries, and the 5/6 year old child Anya in Spy x Family, etc.) is proof of her abilities. Enjoy being emotional toyed with by this anime :)

Nothing to be sorry about, I think the end of this episode gets everyone emotional to different degrees. It's the episode where you know, pretty much, for certain that Himmel loved Frieren and knew that she would never truly realize it. Enjoying re-watching the show with you.

One of the most important episodes of season 1. The sadly silence truth of Himmel and Frieren. Now you understand why Heiter and Eisen do what they do to help Frieren to go to Ende to talk to Himmel. Sein is such an important character because is the "only" mature character that push certain ideas and feelings on the rest of the party. Frieren in her cold (like her name) personality does not function as a grown up for their younglins. She is the teacher on magic and adventuring but no in life regards of her long life. I think much of us feels like Heiter. We are kids that need to act as a grown up because life is what it is. But that kid is still there and sometimes we let it run free in something that we do. Like watching anime and play videogames in our 50's like it was when where 15. HE HE

It's shows like this that keep me watching anime. No need to apologize, most normal humans react in the same way.

This scene never fail to make us feel, Himmel, what a man.

I think we all feel somewhat like children playing at being grown ups cause there’s no magical point at which we transition from one to the other. Biggest thing for me is to enjoy what you enjoy and not worry about whether it’s supposed to be childish or not.

Himmel's ring also two episodes ago, in Ep 12. It was in the second story about Stark's birthday. You can see it laying in Freiren's traveling chest as she excitedly shows the disappearing clothes potion to Fern. When Fern left the room after dousing Feiren with the potion, Freiren sees the ring laying in her chest and picks it up, gazing at it closely, maybe recalling a past memory.

Not always like it could be a funny moment or a cool fight or a sad moment

Don't apologize. This episode had dozens of reactors reeling. These writers know how to hit you right in the feels. Keep tissues handy for the rest of the season.
