I didn't think I would be saying the old term "there's no 'I' in team," again but here we are.

I feel for Kageyama in this because when panic starts to set in we have the tendency to revert back to old habits and old habits die hard.

Even though I want Karasuno to win the game, hearing Oikawa saying Kageyama needed to utilize his other teammates to the team's advantage was spot on.

I see that we are going to switch out some team members in the next episode...

I'M BITIN' MY NAILS, GUYS!!!

It means substitution... Now Tobio need to cool down his mind, and watch from sidelines

Hebes

Yup, Suga holding up the paddle with Kageyama's number on it means that they are going to substitute him in. Teams are only allowed a certain number of substitutions per set (except Liberos, they are a free substitution), so they have a system to make sure the officials can keep track of it. I like how they show the contrast in how different players on Karasuno respond to the pressure of this difficult match. While Tanaka manages to persevere and eventually overcome the pressure, Kageyama cracks. He's so wrapped up in his personal rivalry with Oikawa that he loses perspective. This episode really starts to show why I love Oikawa. What he lacks in raw technical talent he makes up for with insane "Game IQ". He knows exactly how to get the best out of his teammates, and has a great eye for figuring out his opponents and finding strategies to disrupt them.
