Hola Familia!

My portion of summer band has come to an end...and so has my air conditioning in my home. Hopefully as I am recording these videos the portable air conditioner I ordered from Amazon has come in…

Music time!

🎀BAND-MAID Sunday:

I may have no AC, but at least I have BAND-MAID! This Sunday we will be listening to “Flying High.” I’m excited to check this out! I also have some questions and would love to have a conversation on why this song has only been performed live once!

🔹AD INFINITUM - “Outer Space”

I see the words “symphonic metal” and I am IN. What is really interesting about this band is it originally started as a solo project of Swiss singer Melissa Bonny. The solo porject has since formed into a full fledged band with drummer Niklas Müller, bassist Jonas Asplind and guitarist Adrian Theßenvitz. I can’t wait to check them out.

🔹ChRocktikal - “Peace”

When I read that the singer of this group is a K-Pop star turned K-Rock star, I knew I had to check this out! Siyeon is/was a member of the K-Pop group called Dreamcatcher, and while it says that the group hasn’t formally disbanded, it does say that many members have gone on to do other projects. ChRocktikal is Siyeon’s current project!

🔹BAND-MAID Prime - “The Dragon Cries” LIVE, Line Cube Shibuya, 2020

This little dragon is crying, I tell you what…(imagine me saying this in a Hank Hill sort of way) I am hoping that watching some BAND-MAID live will lift my spirits after (not) sleeping in a hot house over night. I need some joy this today!

After teaching 2 masterclasses on Thursday, I came home and took a nap. I woke up from that nap sweating...then I realized there was no air coming out of the vents. A tech came out and told me that the problem can be fixed, but it he won’t have the part until Monday. 🥹 Think cool thoughts for me!

I hope you are staying cool!
