⚠️I have a few moments I scream in this video. I did lower the volume in those moments.⚠️

I'm sad that it's over, but OH MY GOSH did it end perfect!

To avoid spoilers in the ending, I'll leave it here. This was an anime that I am going to watch AGAIN!

Season 3 in two months from now. Teaser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-JSGImdaYc Release Schedule: - Season 3 (Part 1): October 2026 - Theatrical Movie: December 2026 (December 11, 2026, in Japan) - Season 3 (Part 2): April 2027 Don't expect the movie to stream in this side of the world till mid 2027. There's a part that they cut from this finale that explains why Maomao returns to the Verdigis House, but I won't tell because they probably talk about in the beginning of the next season.

I have good news for you, you’re wrong 😂 season 3 comes in October of this year. It will be a two cour season, 12 episodes then continued in April 2027. There is tons of source material for more seasons. The movie is an original and will air in between. The ED for this makes me so sad knowing that this will be the last time the three best friends MaoMao, Shisui and Xiolan will be together. 😭 the guy above was way more detailed so listen to him 😂

So first, yes there will be a third season, the first part come for spooky season since it will be aired on october 2026, the second part will start on april 2027, but with at least 12 weeks of apothecary diaries from october to december/january (depending of what week in october they start), april will come soon enough too. Now, about this season and the final, i absolutely loved it, i consider this last arc, from the moment Suirei reveal herself to the end, better than the Lakan arc we had in season 1 (But i loved Shisui/Tamamo so i'm bias). This is also why i said not to be too harch on her when she gave the medecin to the children, i knew the result, but didn't wanted to spoil either. I said it, Shisui was the kindest, because she didn't knew she will be surviving, she thought she would end dead, it is by chance that the bullet of the feifa hit the hairpin that Maomao gave her and even that, Maomao gave her the hairpin whithout motive, just as a good luck charm, so she was ready for her death and do everything she could to save thoses that deserve it, what a queen. Also, if you rewatch it, you will see so much hidden things in the background and the foreshadowing, like the story with the lady in waiting looking like the concubine, the repeated story about the lost princess ect ect Oh and also, just to be clear, Jinshi stopped taking his medecin to make him "an eunuch", so yeah, when he react weirdly when he is with Maomao at the start of the episode, ready to go to business, that because it was a no reason boner lol.

LMAO! No reason boner! NSP reference. 💙 There was TOTALLY reason!

If you look at the hair stick that Shisui gave the merchant, at the end, has a bullet mark, showing that the hair stick saved her. The jade piece that she bought also has some legend attached to it, but I can't remember exactly what is was.

I know, but that wouldn't have worked with the NSP title otherwise hehe.

So I've completed my catch-up binge of your reactions to this 2 months and a week after this was posted at 2:30AM, worth it though. I feel like the back portion of this story arc would've potentially benefited from the thing you've since started to try out on newer uploads, where you actively check comments from the previous episode at the start of each reaction. Aside from the misconception about there not being a season 3, which Luis had been actively trying to correct you on since at least the start of July; there was a few times where the intentionally convoluted and interconnecting plot elements were causing a little confusion that others were doing their best to clear up. Perhaps it would've helped you more coherently keep up with all the story beats. :) Now that this arc is finished though I can say that it was a great deal of fun watching you go through the emotional rollercoaster of Shisui/Lolan's story, actions and motivations as you got to see things from different perspectives with additional knowledge/context being added. She's nearly my favourite secondary character because of how well written she is and how much nuance there is to give the complexity required for her behaviour to be justified. The new name/alias that she has picked is coincidental & decided on the spot, in that it's a combination of the characters for 'jade' & 'seaweed', but is also likely a nod by the author to Tamamo-no-Mae which is a legendary Japanese yokai, a nine-tailed fox demon. But for me she gets slightly pipped to the post by Xiolan, who is probably the only non-child character in the series who truly wears her heart on her sleeve, with no real duplicity or secrets. As such she's such a pure hard-working cinnamon roll that you can't help but root for her and just want to protect that rare innocence.
