I love that we got a moment at the beginning of the episode to see the back of Mom's head preparing Anko for the festival. I thought that Anko didn't want to participate in the mochi and festival activities because she might be fighting with the feelings she remembers as a child.

...that moment when she helped the little girl with the outfit and makeup made my heart melt, and apparently it did the same to Anko.
