I swear this episode had me lifting my jaw off the floor.

Uika is not okay. I felt like the scene with her, Tomori and Mutsumi was awkward because poor Tomori was stuck in the middle of Uika and Mutsumi's argument.

Then Nyamu seems like she is struggling with jealousy of Mutsumi's ability to take on any kind of character. Am I right here? Being in Ave Mujica would really boost her career. Her want to be loved is almost too much!

Then...Mutsumi is REALLY not okay (iykyk).

The last few minutes of that episode...I'M FLOORED! GAGGED!

Umiri says Wakaba so she technically isn't lying to Nyamu about recruiting her. This episode is Shakespearen with all the miscommunication that leads to miscommunication and so on, (metaphorically) destroying them in the process.

2026-09-26 10:00 (First, thank you for the kind words) I loved your comparing AM to telenovela in terms of the drama level! I think what I admire about the show's writing is, the stuff that seems like small loose ends, that you don't expect to be consequential - all of a sudden the next ep they not only bring it back out, but it turns out to be the next major plot point. Even when it's a few eps later - you realize, oh they weren't gaslighting you, they just needed the plot to proceed organically to the place where it was right to examine and/or resolve it. I was thinking that they really should have changed the subtitle after Ep 7 to "AM: Don't know what you got until it's gone." I think Umiri's declaration that she quit *all* her other bands may be the single biggest character change within an arc in either show. And it felt earned because we've seen her fully invested into *not* letting herself get fully invested. LOL One of the single freakest things in this show, is listening to all of the other alters *cheer* after Guitar Mitsumi 'dies'. And they laugh at Mortis' plight. One thing for sure - Mitsumi brain is a *tough room*. Well in the best 'novela' traditions, we're down to the final eps so, time to buckle up for even more drama!

It was about this time when I first saw this that I literally thought 'remember when you started watching that anime with the pink haired girl who wants to join a band at school.' And somehow it leads to - DID sufferers killing their own alters!? LOL Well in the best 'novela' traditions, we're down to the final eps so, time to buckle up for even more drama!

Not spoiling is difficult, and maybe that's why my comments come off disjointed and rambly kekeke. And this is indeed very telenovela, just an animated one about band girls. This episode does push along the story forward. I agree with Nymphalis on how this shows the miscommunication stacking one on top of another and is pretty much the root of all their issues. Mutsumi thinks that reforming CRYCHIC would make Sakiko happier because to Mutsumi, she did seem happier at that point in time. But that was because it was before any of the bad stuff was happening to Saki's dad. And Sakiko is doing the same. But what about the feelings of the other girls from CRYCHIC? What about the feelings of the girls in Ave Mujica? Scenes with Uika in this episode are worth noting, when she met Anon, she's upset that Sakiko is actually considering reforming her old band. Which leaves lesser chance for Ave Mujica to reform so she went and hashed it out with Umiri, that she's with her. And then Uika saw Tomori and Mutsumi at the planetarium, where she got the truth bomb that Mujica was an attempt to forget CRYCHIC, coz for Uika, when Saki called her for help to forget, she really thought it was to forget the death of her mom or something. Then intrusive thought crash out. That's all I have for now, no MutsuMortis tidbits from me.
