I cannot believe that the creators of this show was able to pull everything together by the 12th episode and make a wholesome style episode that made me feel like all the loose ends were being tied up.

I needed what was happening between members to happen. It felt like the band was finally becoming a family, one by one.

This is what I have been waiting for.

A healing episode towards the season finale. I become a fan of Ave Mujica's music and can't wait for more content. Hope that the new movie (Prima Aurora) that is schedule to premiere this 16th of October in Japan, streams in this side of the world before the new season in january. Fingers cross. Nittppic, don't know what show will you react in mondays after this ends, but if you want to continue the trend, I recomend "Zombieland Saga", a more ligthhearted and fun show with great music.

Thinking again about Uika and my previous redemption comment - it occurred to me watching this episode for (I think) the 3rd time, that the scene in the garden after they stand up to grandpa is the 1st time we see Sakiko actively happy in 2 seasons? (ignoring flashbacks to her earlier childhood). Through learning of the tragedy of Uika's own life it helps Sakiko to put her own misfortunes into greater perspective, and determine to take more control of her own destiny whilst helping the others who have become entangled in her life (to borrow a phrase from the show). The letter to Tomori was absolutely necessary and further shows Saki is now in a place where she can finally appreciate what the others around her have been trying to do. Can't wait to enjoy the final episode with you next week and then the celebratory patreon request 🤩🥳

I like this episode. It was a bit healing, and rather wholesome. There had been quite a discussion with what the dreamlike quality of the fun times between Uika and Sakiko meant, as well as various interpretations of why Saki said she hates the smell of coffee. But to me it just means that it reminds Sakiko that all of these are fleeting moment, and they will have to wake up from the dream, that is Ave Mujica, at some point, or something like that. Oh I really love that Sakiko managed to communicate properly to Tomori through her letter. The scene where Saki claims "godhood" for her flock (of troubled children) and claim her Togawa authority was pretty badass. Though i dunno if it's related, Ave Mujica has this song entitled Kamisama, Baka, and I'm pretty sure this is for Saki... but that's just me. I would just like to share that Rico (Uika) and Kanon (Saki) had a bunch of reels of them going to Shodoshima, island home of Uika, and doing cute Uika and Saki scenes. They really love their characters. ahaha. Also glad to hear you're going to play Our Notes. It's fun! Last episode is awesome. Can't wait.

I hope after you finish Ave Mujica, you will continue to Yume Mita. It has more toxicity and drama than MyGO and Ave Mujica combined lol.

As we get to the end of Ave Mujica it's a good time to look back on Mygo and Ave Mujica (AveMygo) together and see how they contrast. Anon says MyGo is many moments built up to eternity and with all the talk of dreams in this episode let me propose AveMuji is the opposite, a single moment (a dream if you will) held for eternity. Someday the world of Ave Mujica will come crashing down on them but for now they will revel in it. Poetry aside I see both bands as coming from the same idea, that everyone in them feels dehumanised and othered by society and they represent the ways we deal with it. Mygo is all about carving out a space for themselves and living as their most authentic selves. Ave Mujica on the other hand is about rejecting 'humanity', being dolls or in Saki's case god. Sorry if this is a bit rambly, I don't have any formal education in this kinda literary analysis, it's just something I've picked up. On the internet you can find someone else's analysis of the series through a similar lens which is much more in-depth

It was such a good way to kind of wrap this up - although I'm not positive how safe everything is still. The one thing they continue with Grandpa here is that he talks about the 'consequences' of Sakiko's dad and the potential threat to Hatsune as if it's not coming from him. In both the scene between Dad and Grandpa last ep and now here, he talks as if that danger is external, saying "You don't know the power of the Togawa". He initially said he'd keep Dad's secret. We don't actually know if he lied or if somehow the rest of the family found out about the threat and set up Dad themselves. And here, he says to Hatsune "Do you want to end up like that man??" It doesn't sound like a threat as much as a warning. The bottom line is, he keeps talking about "The power of the Togawa", when we know now he has no blood claim so he's only in power to the extent it is allowed or he can maneuver politically to keep it. I think what makes this possibility stronger in my mind is that, we see when Saki finally tells him to fuck off - for all the bluster and orders, there's not a thing he can really do about it. Money he has, but real power from the family name, he has to fake. (heh, so yet another character wearing a mask) Saki is even able to walk back into the talent agency - that he owns - and say 'Yeah, I say we're starting back up. And I'm going to spend all the money I want, I'm a Togawa'. But yeah stay tuned. As someone mentioned, the theatrical movie is out this weekend. And a whole new season for MyGoxAve is coming in January. So many more opportunities they can use to figure out how to torture Saki. LOL One thing I was thinking about during this ep - Saki's 'hero's journey'. It's kinda odd, because she's doesn't have that 'teacher/mentor' figure in the traditional sense. Because she originally is that person for another hero's journey - Tomori. She was there to teach Tomori not just about music and being in a band but being part of a project of people and friends and being able to understand what that means from her unique pov. Now Saki didn't have that - except watching how Tomori grew up and became herself a leader. I like the symmetry. Thanks for not looking at the preview - on to the last ep!
