I didn't think I was going to feel maternal towards a little white worm that can talk through radio waves.

The conversation about how music and light can effect emotions was so spot on. I really loved that this was brought up because this topic can be vastly different for everybody.

I think the inclined elevator was probably a nod to Neon Genesis Evangelion, the dark area they were exploring before finding the lift had lots of large inactive humanoid robots lining the walls mostly in shadow and the acceleration of the lift would make sense as a delivery mechanism to launch them into combat in manner reminiscent of the Eva mechs, bit like a steam catapult on an aircraft carrier. I binged the last few episodes of this series again as a refresher whilst waiting for this reaction when I found out about the later upload time. You will kinda find out soon enough what the little dude is, I've thought it more resembles a ferret or the like more than a cat. The reviewer I quoted when commenting on a previous episode affectionately referred to it as a Pillsbury Dough Weasel. Also think back to what we've seen previously in the series that has a similar appearance, there's quite a few things that are implied without being specifically stated.
