TL;DR - tomorrow we'll have a new post and if you want to play, we need your email address associated with a myfantasyleague.com account (takes 1 minute to sign up) and if you are unavailable on September 2nd, 3rd, or 4th to draft in the evening.

-------

Hot off the presses, exclusive to our Top Secret Agents, y'all showed you were interested in fantasy and we took some time to figure out how we could accommodate. Spoiler: it's going to be absolutely wild if we pull this thing off, by hook or by crook we're going to do it. Here's the gist...

96 teams. 1 champion.

We're going to use myfantasyleague.com to have as many people as possible play this season. This will be broken down into 8 divisions of 12 teams, the player pool is specific to each division so teams throughout the leagues will have the same players, but within each division, rosters will be unique. That means the playoffs will be spicy. Josh Allen vs. Josh Allen. CMC vs. CMC. Cowboys D/ST vs. Cowboys D/ST.

Since the season kicks off in just over a week, we're going to try and spin this up fast and want to get as many of you in as possible. If we fill this thing up and there are folks left out - I'm extremely sorry, we'll be also doing a survivor pool and have an update on that soon.

What we need from you: tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1pm ET we will have a new Patreon post where the first 94 people to comment with their email address linked to a myfantasyleague.com will get invited. If you're unavailable to draft either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday next week (September 2nd, 3rd, or 4th) please include that in your comment too so we can arrange leagues according to people's schedules.

If we send an invite out and you don't respond by Friday (August 30th) at 1pm ET, then we're going to start using other commenters to fill those spots in order to know the league is good to go before the weekend. Ok... I think that's that for what's needed of you. Now for the league details.

2 conferences, one that Joe is in, one that Will is in

4 divisions per conference

12 teams per division

PPR scoring, 4 points passing touchdown, decimal scoring

Keeping starting roster standard as 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 D/ST, 1 Kicker

Regular season runs through week 12

Top 4 teams from each division make the playoffs, no bye weeks

Championship week is week 17

The goal of this is to have fun and hang out and have something to talk about with all of y'all, so get your account set up and have your email/availability ready for the post tomorrow at 1pm ET

I’m the one who asked about fantasy in the 2nd mailbox, hopefully that means I can squeeze my way in 👉👈

Any possibility we could get sexy and make this auction draft?

I get the logistics of 96 people needing to be split into 8 league, but hear me out. 1 league, 3 super-mega flex lineup spots. There are 9 *somewhat* start-able positions fantasy per NFL team. QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, D/ST, and K. Works out perfectly to 288 roster spots over 96 teams. Who says no?

Jonathan Bottorff

8 divisions * 3 playoff teams per division = 24 playoff teams, which isn't a 2^X number, so how are there no byes? Edit: maybe meant top 4 from each division? That would check out with 32 playoff teams, no byes, starting Week 13 and championship on Week 17

I’m currently accepting nominations for generic/dumb team names

I'm adding a comment here out of intrigue What is the potential of doing a 2 year thing? Like we have 144 teams, and the winners of every division play in the top league next year, 3rd places all play It's 2 years of fantasy so obviously it's way harder to coordinate year to year but might be interedting? Seeing that we hit the max of 96 in like 4 minutes
