Dungeon Explorers 2 - Start option (Patreon)

With the conclusion of Lukestria Family approaching, and soon the conclusion of Prayers of Distorted Minds, I’ve already started planning more of DUEX 2.During one of my revisions of the initial story and the mechanics I’ve built so far, an idea came to me — and I’d like your opinion on it.

As I mentioned before, the protagonist of DUEX 2 is the Black Prince. Anyone who has played the other games in the franchise has probably heard of him.Now here’s the point where I want your feedback regarding the gameplay direction:

1 — Start from zero.You grind levels, money, and equipment from the very beginning, showing the Black Prince’s entire journey and growth until he becomes the Black Prince.

2 — Start already established.After the prologue, you begin as the Black Prince with a somewhat higher level, better gear, some gold — basically already above average. You’ll still need to chase money, improve equipment, and level up, but you won’t start as a nobody in a “beginner village.”

Which model do you prefer?A full journey from the bottom, or starting already strong?

These are decisions I like to make together with you all.And if the vote ends up evenly split, I can include an option after the prologue where players choose whether they want to start at a low level or jump straight into a more advanced start.
