Message from AGI-Stories…

So… Ailana is going to join the team from "The Chosen" in Colorado. I think the best idea to present that is to create one post for the day and add it to both the "Ailana's Diary" and "The Chosen" collections.

I've never had the need to do anything like this, so hopefully, it will be easy to follow.

That should occur on Saturday and Sunday coming up.

Also, I've not planned out "River City Connections" for the weekend, but I anticipate it will have its own posts as usual.

Good Morning

Starting today slowly… just easing into a Thursday that promises to be mostly work then dinner out with the crew.

We’re going to grab a booth at Whataburger! (Bet you thought I was gonna say Denny’s!) The plan is to just debrief the shoot in the desert from Tuesday.

Speaking of that, Josh and Geoni banged out a draft of a little travel article. Jason is going to check in with Josh and do some editing today.

As for me, I have editing to do as well. I always have editing to do!

I suppose writing (and editing) the diary is one of my favorite uses of my writing efforts. Your feedback and encouragement makes it all worthwhile.

I’ll be back later, so see you then.

The Storylines are the heart of Ailana Geven Imagines, and they are found in the Collections section of the site.

Pose For Me!

You know how plans change? Mine did! I made some good progress until Geoni called.

”Come with me…” She wanted me to walk down to a nearby shop with her.

As we walked along, she got that look—the one that means she’s about to turn the camera on.

”Pose for me… Here… this way. Okay, hang on.”

Composition… focus… angles… photography is almost as much about what you leave out of the frame as it is what’s included.

As a photographer, I appreciate all the technical aspects. I also appreciate the science of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings—depth of field, focal length—all of that. Photography blends the art of composition and expression with the science of optics and exposure.

As a model, I am accustomed to doing what I’m told.

”That’s a good shot… now… moody…”

I let my smile go. Popped a little angle here and there.

”Wait! Give me your shoes.”

Did that.

“Look left… Excellent! Now, look right! Got it… One more… look down thoughtful…”

I was putting my shoes back on when a retirement age couple walked by.

The wife smiled at me and nodded. “I don’t think I was ever that cute.”

I thanked her through my blushing face.

We eventually got back home and Geoni picked a few of the shots for me to share.

Here’s the big idea… We get good at things we try to do, things we work on improving. And Geoni is working hard—and it shows!

That’s it for now… I’ll definitely check in later for a goodnight!

See you then!

Good Night

Well, it’s been a really good day. And, it looks like I’ll have an exciting weekend coming up!

Between Geoni bossing me around before lunch and dinner at Whataburger, I got a call from Izzy Duffy.

“Ailana… remember me telling you about The Pay It Forward Society?”

She went on to say they were taking on a project out in Colorado. Wildfires burned all the vegetation from an area, and now, erosion is starting to get out of control. She invited me to come out and volunteer alongside her and her team.

I just need to get there by Saturday morning!

Sasha says it’s no problem—she can book us (the two of us) on a flight and we can get there in time to be part of the work.

So, Sasha and I are packing our bags and work boots! I’ll give you more details later, so watch for that.

Dinner tonight was a good time. We all talked about the modeling job in the desert. We went over what worked, what was a challenge, and brainstormed ideas of how to do things better.

”I have a suggestion,” Clay said. “What if we worked it out next time that all three of you model? I mean, if the job calls for it… You know… it just gives us more options…”

Jason locked in on one thought. “Next time, you say… Is that getting the cart before the horse?”

Clay nodded. “A bit. I’d say more planning ahead. It was a great shoot. Sasha and Ailana are going to call Naomi tomorrow to work out a process for future bookings…”

Josh was smiling. “If you ask me, this puts another page in the AGI playbook.”

I agree completely! I’ll let that idea close things out, for today.

May your hard work now lead to more and better opportunities for the future.

Good night.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.
