Message from AGI-Stories…
I scheduled this later than usual for this storyline because it takes place in the evening. I thought that made more sense…
Thanks!
EXTRA SHIFTS by Jasmine Banks
Today, Micah didn’t tell me the truth about something.
He got up before sunrise to go work for a man his boss at the shop knows who needed some labor for a roofing job. Micah’s handy in lots of ways and could do roofing, but it was just for carrying and cleanup. He said it would be all day.
But it wasn’t, and he knew ahead of time. I’ll get back to that.
When he was gone, I did some housework and laundry. I got extra shifts for the next three days, so I gotta get caughtup and ahead. I got on PRN at another nursing home and they called. So, between my full-time job and the PRN, I got 6 days straight coming up.
When I got the laundry in the dryer, I decided to call the people at that company I learned about on Instagram, the one that runs things out of South Padre Island. I called last Friday, but the woman that answered was at the airport.
Today, I was just expecting to leave a message, but the same woman answered. This time, she was out on a boat. In the Gulf, I guess, because the connection was bad. I told her I’d call back, but I had work coming up.
So, I sat down and prayed. I asked God if it wasn’t in the plan for me to get on with SwimFit, help me figure out what the plan is.
Now, I know the difference between coincidence and divine intervention. But I’d hardly said “Amen” when Micah come through the door smiling like his TikTok just went viral. (He don’t actually post on TikTok, but if he did…)
He held up a gift bag. “I got a surprise for you!”
He told me about the roofing being just the morning. He got paid cash and went to JCPenny’s and bought me a bikini.
“It was on clearance… Let’s go to the beach! Like, practicing for when you start modeling for that swimsuit company, but we don’t have to take pictures. I got a styrofoam cooler at the gas station, so we can put some cokes in it and make sandwiches. It’s a nice day!”
So we packed up quick and went to Boca Chica Beach.
Now, back to him not telling me the truth—there’s a big difference between telling a lie and surprising someone!
Now, it’s time to roll over and spoon.
Be your best you!

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just at $100 per month.
Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.
I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.
While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
