Outside, it’s overcast and chilly, but in this kitchen… and in my heart… It's all sunny!

I just backed away from the iPad to refill my coffee. Meanwhile on FaceTime, Michael is making omelets that he swears are a secret recipe handed down in his family for generations.

I had to ask. “Michael, how is sautéed onions and bell peppers in an omelet a secret? Everyone does that…”

“Shh!!!! Don’t tell everyone!”

He’s carrying on like he’s a TV chef doing a cooking show.

Suffice to say, things are good in his world!

And I can’t even tell you how good things are in mine!

Let me do those things I came back to social media to do in the first place!

Living Green Tip: I’ve been thinking lately about how easy it is to overlook sustainability in our closets. A “living green” mindset doesn’t have to mean buying expensive eco brands—it can start with wearing what we already own a little longer.

Every shirt or pair of jeans we keep in rotation for an extra year saves water, energy, and waste from manufacturing and shipping. I’ve started mending tiny tears, washing with cold water, and air-drying more often. It’s good for my clothes, good for the planet, and a quiet reminder that stewardship can be woven right into daily life.

Also… if you wear work pants all day, change into jeans for two hours before bed, are the jeans even dirty? Think about that before you toss them into the hamper!

I read this verse this morning: “Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14.

It’s one of those verses that sounds simple until you try to live it. I’ve realized love isn’t just about big gestures—it’s the patience to listen, the humility to step back, and the courage to forgive when it’s easier not to. Whatever I do, I try to pause and ask, “Am I doing this in love?”
