Good Morning

Up early and out for a walk! It’s probably a few degrees too cool for the bikini, but the sun is nice.

Here’s a little object lesson… I’m not 100% satisfied with the way my face came out in this picture. I’m not even sure what bothers me! New camera for me and newer lens… Something…

So, there’s an adage from years ago vloggers used that said something like this: A “good and done” post is better than a “going for perfect but never posted” one. In short they would say “Done is better than perfect.”

Perfection is tough. I can always look at every picture, every sentence, and think of ways to make them better—or at least to wonder if there’s something better I could have done or said.

Perfect is the goal. Excellence is my standard. I’ll move on, having said that.

The sea salt ad is set for Friday. Don’t get too excited! It’s… you know… sea salt. In a container. As art director, I have the shot requirements. Boring, to be honest. It’s about sea salt, so…

But if you are a creative professional, you need to think of things as a profession.

I knew a singer/songwriter who wouldn’t take gigs doing covers. They wanted to stick to their art, be true to their own musical direction. They ended up working at a bakery making donuts and pastries, last I heard. Instead of taking the paying job in music, they took the paying job in baking.

So, you betcha!

We’re taking “Savannah’s Charm” out to sea a few miles and standing in the sun lounge holding cartons of sea salt. And billing the client! Josh is including a line on the invoice for the yacht—something like "usage as alternate studio.”

I’ll get out of this post after this… Josh also says we should get an appointment for the real estate closing today. I’ll let you know…

Now, I need to get back to the condo, clean up for the day, and see what happens. Looking forward to sharing whatever that is with you!

See you soon!

Stretching The Legs

The temperature is back up into the 70s, and Geoni summoned me to take a walk.

“Let’s go stretch our legs!”

And, of course, she wanted to shoot some pics! This time, she went to my closet and picked an outfit. I reminded her that I had on jeans like this last time, and she said she knew—that she was working on a set.

Like Jason, she wanted to try some different angles.

Honestly, I think the two of them meet secretly to conspire how best to exploit my willingness to model! I know they sit around the table looking at pictures and comparing notes! Growth comes most readily through intentional effort!

So, I bargained with her again to let me use a picture for my midday post. I picked this one!

What do you think?

I’ll be back tonight with something to say good night. (Still looking for the remote shutter release; batteries for the backup release ordered!)

See you then!

Good Night

Today has been pretty good. I did get some work done, along with the time I spent hanging out with Geoni.

I had to play beat-the-self-timer again. Easier standing up than diving onto the bed. And I guess if a lost remote is the worst thing going on, I have it pretty good. Honestly, I feel that way every day, lately.

We did get an appointment for the closing. That will be on Thursday.

Dad and Grammy are busy packing. It’s only a couple of blocks away, but boxing up as much as possible just makes things easier. If you’ve moved much, you understand. I sort of get it–it’s a little analogous to living out of suitcases where keeping everything packed up was essential.

Well, I think this is a good place to wrap up for the day. Tomorrow promises to be warm, sunny, and windy. I think maybe another midday outing would be nice, even if just a walk down to the end of the block.

With that, let me close.

May prosperity be your companion throughout all your days, and with it peace and contentment.

Good night.

Be your best you!
