GOOD MORNING

Good morning and happy Saturday! Looks like today is going to be a good one for staying inside and getting a few things done. I’m starting with coffee, then some housework.

I’d like to say thank you one more time to all of you who had such kind comments on the Thanksgiving Thursday posts. It was a big day, and I’m so happy you shared it with me.

The construction guys will be back at it today. I’m no expert, but it looks like they are making great progress. I mentioned to Sasha how impressed I was.

She shrugged. “Like I said… the Seabees could build an airstrip in the jungle in a couple of days! Moving a few walls and wires should be a breeze!”

According to Sasha, Jasmine and Micah can probably move in by the end of the week.

That also means phase II will begin soon. I mentioned before the plan was for Sasha and Clay to head to St. Croix and that Josh and Geoni will spend some time in Chicago. Then all of us will converge in St. Croix on December 20th to close out the year!

So, that’s the plan for December. If I come up with a plan for today, I’ll let you know!

MADNESS I SAY

Don’t judge! I’m grocery shopping! Yes, it is the Saturday after Black Friday and it took five minutes for Jason and I to get a picture without the faces of strangers in the background!

See… we needed chips. And I use that word figuratively, because really?

So, this afternoon, everyone is going to sit down in the Ryan/Everett condo and just review the recent weeks and take a quick look at December. How could we do that without snacks?

Jasmine and Micah are coming over as well, so the whole team will be assembled. They are bringing homemade fudge, cookies, and cake from Micah’s mom! Geoni is making Rotel dip. Clay is going to grill up some bologna chunks (some with BBQ seasoning, some honey mustard, and some plain). Josh and Geoni are making dips—from scratch. (Who does that!). Sasha is on iced tea duty!

Jason and I are supplying the chips, cheese, and crackers to round out the ever-so-healthy snack package!

Impromptu parties are really fun. Having a good group of friends to share days with is incredible.

And so, too, is the support and encouragement I feel from each of you reading this. I can’t thank you enough!

GOOD NIGHT

The day is winding down. I’m back in my condo for the goodnight post. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow, so after church I guess it will be a slow day. Maybe a nap!

Right now, Jason and I are… well, we’re really doing nothing. He watched me fold towels from when I was doing housework before our Walmart run. I watched him unload my dishwasher.

“Isn’t this the bowl you had Halloween candy in?” he asked.

It was. I don’t use a lot of dishes, and I hand-wash my coffee mugs, so maybe it’s been a while since I run a load.

We were deciding what to do next and he suggested I pose for the goodnight post. So, we did that.

After I get this posted, he’ll head back to his unit, and I’ll call it a night. It was a good day, and it’s nice to be able to relax.
