GOOD MORNING

Good morning and happy Monday. I hope everyone is looking forward to a great day. Me? I’m starting mine feeling a little embarrassed.

I’m going to blame Jordan Warner for this! She called last night just to chat and I told her about the woman at the department store.

“Well,” she said, “of course you have to take a selfie from the bathroom wearing it!”

“Um… no…” I laughed.

“You’ve shared bathrobe pictures before,” Jordan replied. “How is this different?”

I couldn’t think of a reason it was different, but I still feel self-conscious about it today!

Jordan and I are going to hang out one day later this week. I’m going to take my computers to her apartment. Michael said I can take his Jeep.

I feel like I’m in a huge season of change, and I sort of went that way for my devotional thought today.

Some seasons don’t feel gentle. They feel like stretching—emotionally, spiritually, practically—like God has God’s hands on opposite ends of your life and is slowly pulling. I don’t think that kind of stretching means something is wrong. I think it often means something is growing.

What comforts me is remembering that God doesn’t stand at a distance while we strain.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Not watching from afar. Not waiting for us to get it right. He’s present inside the tension itself.

When my plans feel uncertain and my heart feels exposed, I remind myself that He is steady even when I’m not. Stretching isn’t punishment. It’s preparation. And the same God who calls us forward stays close enough to hold us while we learn how to move.

That’s it for today. Thanks for being with me as… well, as my whole life takes on new dimensions, snowballing into I-don’t-know-what!
