GOOD MORNING
What do you call it when a man says he’ll “pick you up at six o’clock” and takes you out to dinner? Yesterday ended with Roman inviting me to Southern Social in Germantown.
“We can lock down the plans for Tuesday’s office party and go over the checklist for all the system’s monitoring software.”
Lenox, Davis & Marston is going to be closed from the 23rd until Monday, the 29th. Monitoring the systems is pretty vital. And we had everything fully set up and stable before he took me to The Arcade for lunch yesterday.
Hold that thought—I want to make a quick shift to the holiday from Jordan’s point of view. When I got home last night, Carter Ellis was still here. Jordan was at her desk and he was in the kitchen. They were yelling back and forth about an idea map for a new prospect in Perth called Satellite Safe-Systems.
From what I could tell, they were grinding through a mountain of documents meant to tell customers about their product—I overheard Jordan ask, “Where’s the PowerPoint file that shows how someone can take over the navigation controls of your satellite if you don’t use Safe-Systems?”
“I just moved it to the Michael-must-see folder.”
I went to the kitchen to put down my Stanley (that Roman bought me) and Carter forced a smile. “She moved past crying and is now in hyper-manic mode.”
By the time he left—about two hours after the DoorDash delivery—they both had spun down to something like “we got this; we can finish tomorrow.”
So, from what I could tell, it looks like the better part of next week will be prepping their idea map for a new prospect in Perth.
Meanwhile, I will be working on nothing more vital than Tuesday’s office party and looking forward to a few days off.
Assuming Roman and I can—you know—lock down the plan over dinner tonight.
I don’t know what you call a man and woman having dinner on Saturday night, but as for me, I’m pretending it isn’t a date.
Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.
Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.
I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.
While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
Again, thank you very, very much.
