WONDERING IF by Cindi Curtis

Good afternoon, everyone. I’m back at Michael’s condo today—again. I spent most of yesterday here as well.

We FaceTimed our families together. He introduced me to his mom and dad—Mark and Susan—and his sister, Rachel. I was nervous, and I think that’s normal, right?

He already knows my parents, so that was a nice FaceTime. Mom told him how happy they were that I’d found him and said all the gushy mom-things! Dad assured him not to worry about the real estate details on their end.

“And help Cindi not to worry, too,” he added.

Today, I’m not working—but Michael is. With ClearStream getting referrals from big companies, there’s always something that needs doing.

Jordan has called him three times asking when he could look at the idea map she and Carter worked up. He said he had glanced at it and promised to have something concrete by midday Monday.

I am actually looking for a house! Dad’s pretty insistent on the Alturia/St. Elmo area of Bartlett. It’s not in a busy area aside from the Walmart Neighborhood Market and Walgreens that are there. Michael and I drove around there, and it really looks nice.

Now, as I sit here, my mind has drifted. I’m wondering if this is how it would feel to be married. We’ve not talked a lot about it, but I think he and I both know—believe it’s in our future.

Would this be what it feels like? Me here in the recliner, doing my thing—and him busy with his work… I looked up once and I noticed how he always tucks his paper notes into the same folders he keeps on the corner of his desk. He likes things ordered. I kind of like that—my anxiety does, too!

Monday, I’ll be working, too. Would married life really feel like this?

Let me share a devotional idea before I get too goofy.

“But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.” (Luke 2:19)

December 26 feels quieter. I’m asking Jesus to help me keep the wonder—without hurrying past it—letting small, faithful obedience be my worship today.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

Again, thank you very, very much.

WONDERING IF by Cindi Curtis. Yes, the 26th is usually quieter after the chaos of yesterday. Thank you for your devotional words. I'm glad both you and he know that...it's in your future. With that knowing comes a calmness and confidence it will happen when it's time., that the promise of the future will be made real. Cindi, you are looking in a terrific area. You should be able to find a place where you can have your greenhouse back, albeit with presumably different plants from Colorado. I thank you for your update. Have you seen the weather forecast?
