Chapter 19: MONDAY THOUGHTS by Emma Knox
Well, I ain’t sad. I’m just tired, but I wanted to write a little before I go to bed.
I was real happy to have a title yesterday with double meaning. This one’s not very creative, but it is what it is.
New York got some cold weather and a little snow, and that’s real hard on people without homes, so work today was really hard. Normally people don’t just show up. Today, some did.
Noah was just getting home from his shift on the ambulance when I got home. He said the cold had been rough for some people and he’d taken three runs for folks who were stuck in their homes and couldn’t get to the doctor.
Well, me and him started getting dinner prepped for the others. Addison got up from the theater and took over the actual cooking. We don’t normally make group dinners, but this morning she had the idea.
“It will be an eve-eve New Year’s Eve dinner.”
I didn’t do math on the eves. But today’s the 29th and New Year’s Eve is the 31st. Now, there’s gonna be a party again, but it won’t be so busy as Christmas. Like I said, somebody will make a post to tell what happened.
After dinner, me and Merritt sat on the couch and just watched TV and also watched the sky outside. It was quiet and sweet. He fell asleep right there on the couch, so I just sat quiet for a while.

Devon got in from working, and that stirred Merritt, so we said good night. He’s gone to his apartment and here I am.
That’s about it. I guess I told everything about my day. It was good. I’ll say that to close out. It’s nice when you think you did some work that really helped people. And I guess Noah could say a lot more about that, ‘cause of his job and what he does every day.
Well, if you think about it, Hannah and Merritt help people too. It’s just not right away, but after all their math and measuring, all of that ends up making something better than it was.
Anyway, that’s about all. See you soon!
Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.
Patreon members… You are covering a nice portion of that.
I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.
While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!
Again, thank you very, very much.
