GOOD MORNING

Well, I’m sitting here waiting on Merritt to come back from his apartment. All of us here this morning made a breakfast and sat around talking about the holidays, then Merritt said he’d be back in a few minutes after he called his folks.

Looks like everybody had a nice holiday, and now we’ll all be getting back into a normal routine. Kent and Izzy come home today. Or tonight—I don’t know their schedule.

But it’s a good thing they are. Just when I sat down, I got a text message from The Pay It Forward Society. It didn’t say much—and they never do—but it said clear our calendars for January 16 to 18 and they’d have more information soon.

I guess they didn’t give up on our missions! So we’ll get going for the new year, then—we’ll get going somewhere to do something.

I just thought I’d share that and let you know. Of course everyone will be telling you what we learn as it comes in, so keep your eyes open.

Chapter 26: HEADING HOME by Kent Marlon

Izzy and I are heading back home. I gotta say this week has been a lot to take in. It’s the kind of life I guess most of us just read about.

The people we were with are great. I believe if they’d have come to Brooklyn and we had just spent the week hanging out it would have been as good as St. Croix in a lot of ways.

But the beaches… The whole island vibe and the weather… It was a special kind of week that before now I could only have imagined.

Well, we’re heading home. We both have a lot of work to do when we get back.

I suppose if there’s a downside to a vacation it’s that the work is there waiting. Especially for people like Izzy. Her being away didn’t mean people stopped needing help. I didn’t have a lot of jobs lined up over the holiday, so I was able to reschedule them.

Meanwhile, we got a text from The Pay It Forward Society. Looks like they have a project for us weekend after next. To be honest, I’m looking forward to it. Feels a lot lately like we’ve been getting paid for doing nothing.

When I find out what’s up, I’ll let you know.

Be your best you!

"Thank You" Message to Paying Supporters:

Let me begin by saying how grateful I am for your engagement with the content. Your likes, comments, questions, and encouraging remarks keep me going, even on days when I'm pulled in multiple directions all at once.

I believe most of you who help with the costs are doing so because you want to support the production process and show your encouragement. That means so much to me! I am honored and greatly moved.

Thank you very much for your help underwriting the cost of producing AGI Stories content. You can be sure that your paid membership is valued greatly! At the time of this post, not counting hardware, AGI Stories racks up expenses of just over $100 per month.

At this time, most of that cost is being covered by Patreon members like YOU.

While most of the content on AGI Stories is free and much of it is public, the hope is that reserving a few pictures and small sections of the post for you is a modest indication of gratitude!

I believe I have found ways to give you more exclusive content, while still making the site meaningful to visitors and passersby.

Again, thank you very, very much.
