GOOD MORNING

You ever remember something people talked about for a long time, and then when it finally happened it seemed like a letdown? I’m a little worried that everybody talking about what we’re going to do in Africa next weekend is going to cause that same thing to happen.

I’ll just say it really is a problem in the world, and I’m glad we get to do a little something to make it better. That’s enough about that for now.

Me and Merritt decided we’d come to the store together to stock up on some things for the week to come. We tried to time it around breaks in the rain, and we did pretty good. It picked up some while we were shopping.

New York City’s real different compared to places like Vicksburg and Atlanta. Merritt has a car that The Pay It Forward Society pays a parking space for. But getting your car out, going somewhere, then trying to find parking isn’t always easy.

Most of the time, we just walk if it’s close or take the subway or a bus. That’s what it seems to me most folks do. I might be wrong, though.

We had a nice walk. Things with him are always easy and relaxed, so that makes being together special.

Now, I guess I can add this about Africa. On Friday at work, Merritt and Hannah’s boss, Will Robertson, called them to his office right when they got there before they went off to different places like they do. He told them he’d decided to go to Africa to help with the clean water project. He said he told Paul Charm, and Paul said it was great.

I think that’s interesting. I bet he knows a lot about building things and installing things, and that’s gotta be good for the project.
