GOOD MORNING

Patreon exclusive…

Things in the River City have been busy. I was appointed to pop in and update Patreon with a few notes about what’s going on.

Roman wanted me to point out that, since he and Hayes have been openly dating and are now engaged, there has been something of a leveling off in his schedule. Correlated or causal, he has enough time that he and I have gone to the gym a few times and played a little tennis. We did a couple rounds of golf, but let’s just say the PGA isn’t holding any slots open for me.

He and Hayes are in Denver as of last night and will be back Tuesday morning. LDM has a client there who still has on-site hardware, and they are migrating to new equipment. Cindi said that the giant data centers are great and all that, but if they go down, then it’s a mess.

Roman’s client is opting to be responsible for their own problems in-house rather than hoping AWS can stay up and running. Anyway, besides shaking hands and meeting people, Roman and Hayes are there to support the new hardware installation.

Carter and Jordan spent most of this week making the rounds with all of the Memphis clients. They picked up a few add-on jobs and made a lot of people feel good about keeping us as a vendor.

They are coming out to Bartlett later this afternoon, and we’re all going to Good Friday service at church, then—unless Cindi needs to decompress after the crowds—we’ll head to Firebirds for dinner.

The backup plan is to come back here and cook out.

I should also add that her praise for my gardening skills is vastly overstated. I suppose I’ll accept the title of grillmaster, but I don’t think I’m anything special on that front, either.

Last night, we were in the bathroom brushing teeth and doing all that before-bed stuff, and she looked at me, toothbrush still in her mouth, and smiled.

“Am I too much for you?” Her words carried toothpaste out of the corner of her mouth, and it struck me as adorable.

“Too much?”

“After two weeks… is 24/7 with me wearing you out?”

I wiped her chin off with my finger. “Not in the least.”

“If you need some downtime, just tell me.”

I looked at her and shook my head. “I don’t really know what that means, but for now, everything is going well. We get through your episodes together. I really think they don’t hit as hard or for as long nowadays.”

She nodded and smiled. “Maybe so…”

So, I think that little anecdote about married life covers a lot of ground. I’ll end by saying I think I have a great thing going on.

It still feels surreal that a girl I met on Twitter when we both were in high school back in 2016—who I swapped a handful of DMs with—is now my wife. I still recall, a year and a few months ago, seeing her post pop up on X and being surprised by it.

Over the months that followed… Well, most of you know most of what happened. It started with post replies and grew into direct messages, FaceTime, visits, and now…

…happily ever after.

Thank-You Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you for helping support AGI Stories. At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.

As you know, I share a lot of content free to all, and I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.

With that in mind, I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.

My hope is that reserving a few photos and small portions of posts for you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.

I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.

Again, thank you very much.

GOOD MORNING. Hmm. Well, even AWS has problems sometimes. So, I get the caution. Cheaper that way, too. Firebirds is an excellent choice. I think you have a great thing going on, too. Thanks for your update. Happily ever after. Indeed. 😊.
