OUT IN DENVER by Hayes Markel

Hoping not to sound silly, I’d like to start this post saying how happy I am to be in Denver with my fiancé.. Traveling with him again has us feeling like this is how our lives should be—and that’s kind of where we’re heading.

I’m working remotely. My ClearStream work follows me easily, so I can work from anywhere.

Roman is overseeing the migration of his client-specific code from an outdated computer to (as he says) a new box which has all of the state-of-the-art features. I’ll pass on trying to tell you what they all are.

I booked us into a hotel near the client’s office. His room turned out to be directly above mine, two floors up. Naturally, Roman calculated the chances of that happening to be about 2%, based on my guess that each floor has about 50 rooms. For some reason, I thought that was interesting enough to share. Let me know, yeah?

We are at Salt Water Social for dinner tonight. The place looks amazing and the menu we looked at on Google Maps was very attractive. This is the big plan for tonight.

Tomorrow, we’ll visit a church near the hotel for Easter, then spend the rest of the day looking at some natural areas nearby.

Monday, the client is doing a go-live on the new box, so we’re hanging around to see that it goes well. Roman figures his part will be to slap techs on the back and congratulate them, but he thinks it’s good PR to stick around. I agree.

That’s it for us. Jordan and Cindi say to make sure I tell you they also send Saturday greetings.

Until next time…

Thank-You Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you for helping support AGI Stories. At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.

As you know, I share a lot of content free to all, and I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.

With that in mind, I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.

My hope is that reserving a few photos and small portions of posts for you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.

I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.

Again, thank you very much.

OUT IN DENVER by Hayes Markel. Good morning, Hayes. Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the update. Glad things are on track with the client in Denver. Of course you are happy to be in Denver with your fiancé. Working. Traveling. Clienting. Nothing silly about that. Great stuff. 2% chance, huh? How about that! That is interesting, and thanks for sharing. Thanks Jordan and Cindi. I wish you two a Happy Easter tomorrow morning and a good rest of your trip. Take care.
