SATURDAY VIBE by Cindi Curtis Allen
In a recent post, I talked about using soaker hoses to water my garden. Today’s post probably needs to be about some kind of drainage system!
The weather forecast for the Memphis area (of which Bartlett, where I live, is a part) calls for rain and wind. That feels like an excuse to take the day slowly.
Whereas laundry is never done, that’s on the list of things to do. Similarly, we’re heading over to Walmart Market for a grocery run.
I want to mention that each passing day feels more like—hold on for this sentence—the life I always never knew I should be living.
…each passing day feels more like the life I always never knew I should be living.
I’ll be at my desk and hear Michael laugh from down the hall… That’s what my ears have longed for, but they never told me.
Mishaps are sometimes shared… I was coming out of the bathroom just as Michael was tossing a T-shirt at the laundry basket. The side of my head blocked the shot as the shirt wrapped around it. The mixture of laughter and apologies left us both sitting on the floor out of breath.
I could go on. And on.
I’ll add that my new life isn’t free from my anxiety disorder, but I—with Michael at my side—am fighting hard not to make panics into habits. Just because the washing machine triggered an attack yesterday doesn’t mean it will today.
So, together we go on. Gardening, laundry, shopping, and chores are all better shared.
I hope the week to come allows for those of us from the River City to check in with you more. But just know that, post or no post, our lives are going on.
See you soon.

Message from AGI-Stories…
Thank you for all of your support and encouraging words over the last week. I know some of you have missed keeping up with the River City people.
I wish I could say that the week to come will be better, but in truth, the next TWO weeks are dreadfully irregular. I'm going to do my best not to fall behind, though.
I appreciate you understanding—life, responsibilities, and all that…
Be your best you!

Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.
I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.
I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.
At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.
Nevertheless, I share a lot of content free to all. I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.
My hope is that sharing a few exclusive photos and small portions of some posts with you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.
With that in mind, again, thank you very much.
