GOOD MORNING

I woke up to partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures. Finally! It took me about negative three seconds to decide to come to the beach for the good-morning post!

I told you last night about Naomi pitching me a curveball, and I’m still not sure whether I should thank her, fuss at her, or ask her exactly how serious she is.

I’ll get into the details when I check back in at lunch, but the short version is this: Naomi may have found a new way to make my life busier. She may also have found another way to help AGI Creative become more profitable, so I’ve got to find a way to make it happen.

You can explore the idea with me when I post at midday. I’ll lay it all out, and you can weigh in with what you think.

Meanwhile, I’m going to keep walking for another fifteen minutes, then head back. I set off to the north, and I’m getting to the outskirts of the developed area.

Just for the record, Jason, Sasha, and Clay are with me. I’m not being dangerous! And for a different record, Sasha is running the camera today.

That’s it for now. See you soon.

FARM TEAM

Bear with me on this… I’m going somewhere…

Having played softball in high school, having dated a baseball player, and having a Dad who welcomed me to the living room for iced tea, popcorn, and baseball games, I’m aware that MLB has different levels of teams.

When I talked to Naomi over lunch yesterday—after letting her talk me into agreeing that directing new models on poses and expressions was a passably good idea—she went on to throw a new piece onto AGI’s board.

“So, here’s where I’m going,” she said.

“Oh?” I replied. “Shoving me into the deep end wasn’t the end of your plan?”

“Actually, it was the inspiration.”

Her idea is that modeling for AGI Creative Group can be a first professional job for new models. She’ll send them down a few at a time with a day or two’s worth of work.

AGI—which she intends to mean me—will help coach them into the rhythm of professional modeling work, especially the kind of large-scale jobs we just had in Dallas.

She said, “I love how you’ve coached Jasmine into being a solid professional. And from what I can tell, Kaylee is only a couple of sessions behind. I’m in the process of signing new models from the age of sixteen and up. I’d feel totally safe sending them to you for their first studio and location work.”

There was a lot of conversation. Before it was over, I had agreed that it would be a good partnership. If I stop and think about it, Jasmine and Sasha have both made the point that the studio costs real money, and not using it is bad for the bottom line.

So, I suppose the idea has merit in quite a few ways. I know for sure that easing young models into the industry culture seems like a great idea. Not every shoot is friendly and easy-going, but I’d be sure that anything AGI does would be!

So, it’s a sketch of a plan. Let’s see what happens—but hopefully after May 23!

NEWS X 2 by Sasha Baek-Everett

So, little ol’ me, in the studio modeling. Geoni is running the camera. And the lights. And telling me what to do. You get the idea.

I’ve got two bits of news, both somewhat related to my modeling session. I’ve told everyone that’s part of AGI. Now, it’s your turn!

First off, I have some news from SwimFit…

One of the material suppliers we use contacted us about a new line of fabric it’s producing. It’s called graduated opacity fabric, and the idea is that it could be used in a swimsuit while still allowing some level of tanning. Plus, it would be interesting to see.

Clay likes it, and I think it would draw a lot of double takes! I’m not sure about the tanning aspect, but who knows?

News item number two…

I probably won’t be modeling swimwear for a while after today. The best estimate is that I’m about six weeks pregnant!

Mic drop!

Okay, full disclosure. I’m not actually showing. I’m just bulging my belly out and pretending.

Hang on, Journal fans! Let’s go! Baby Everett is due to arrive in early January!

I love it when a plan comes together!

GOOD NIGHT

I’m home tonight after a great day. I forgot to mention that I did work today. I actually got a lot done, to be honest.

Late in the day, Geoni called everyone and invited us to dinner to celebrate Sasha’s news that she’s pregnant. She surprised us with an announcement of her own.

“Josh and I are leaving Thursday to meet a few teens who may be available for adoption.”

She said that everything is in order, and she and Josh have reviewed the files. She said any one of them could be the match they’ve been trying to find.

That is a drastic over-simplification of the details, but that’s the gist of it.

If you feel like a zillion things are all happening at once, you’re right! One reader on Patreon commented that now is a great time to plug into all that’s happening. A lot of details are coming together fast, so catching up on the stories now makes a lot of sense.

A quick summary of a few things…

• Sasha is pregnant and due in January

• Josh and Geoni are traveling to meet potential teens to adopt.

• Naomi is growing her business and sending us work continually!

• Naomi is booking Jasmine and Kaylee for large-scale modeling jobs.

• SwimFit is up and running and shipping products.

• Jason and I are getting married on May 23!

• Dad and Isaac are starting a new business.

I’m sure I could keep going, but that should be enough to make the point. A lot is happening!

And the best part is getting to share it with you!

May your plans come to be, each success moving you closer and closer to your dreams.

Good night.

Be your best you!

Final Thoughts…

Naomi has a way of saying things like they’re suggestions while quietly setting a whole new road in front of me.

I keep thinking about yesterday in Dallas. I went there expecting to model, help where I could, and get through a big job without letting the scale of it overwhelm Kaylee or Jasmine.

But somewhere between Jasmine finding her rhythm, Kaylee realizing she could do more than she thought, and me standing behind the camera saying, “Try it this way,” something shifted.

Naomi saw it before I did.

Maybe that’s what good agents do. They notice the thing you’re becoming while you’re still busy being nervous about it.

I’m not ready to stop being a model. I still love the work. I still love the spark of stepping into a scene and helping make an image happen.

And I am in no way ready to stop being a writer! That's a passion I can't give up.

But I can feel another door opening beside those. Coaching. Directing. Helping new girls step into the industry without feeling like they’ve been thrown into deep water alone.

That feels important.

It also feels terrifying, because if Naomi sends them to me, then I have to be worthy of that trust.

Maybe that’s the next version of AGI. Not just making pictures. Helping people become steady enough to stand inside them.

Message to Paying Supporters:

Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.

I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.

I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.

At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.

Nevertheless, I share a lot of content free to all. I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.

My hope is that sharing a few exclusive photos and small portions of some posts with you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.

With that in mind, again, thank you very much.

FARM TEAM. That idea seems to fit right in with your mission. Your own niche in the modeling world. Training hopefuls and beginners for bigger things down the line. Sounds like a winning partnership. Hope it all works out. Thanks for the update.

NEWS X 2 by Sasha Baek-Everett. Graduated opacity fabric, huh? OF COURSE Clay likes it! Interesting to see? Sure, we'll go with that. Tanning? Sure, that's great, too. We can check for that on a double take. Ok. Thank you for the full disclosure. You are not actually showing. Thanks for reassuring me that I am not crazy. Sticking out the belly being silly. Not actually showing! Ha! One of my all time favorite TV quotes! Use the best! January due date, huh? Excellent. That is one heck of a busy month. Thanks, Geoni, for the excellent camera work. Thanks for posting. Have a great rest of your afternoon, both of you.

Final Thoughts…. Hello! We all saw that coming true in Dallas. You are ready for directing and producing and all that. You can still write and model, but now you're a mentor, also. Maybe it is the next version of AGI. Moving on up. 🌟.
