GOOD MORNING
Shh… I’m ignoring my future. Give me a minute more… I’m pretending to be asleep.
No, really… I’ll be back later. And no… I’m not in the middle of a six-days-and-counting denial phase!
Anyone besides me thinking about the beach?

Message from AGI-Stories…
Today's "Growing Up Jason" chapter will be posted separately.
Also, there is a separate post briefly introducing Jenna Mercer as she meets Brooks McKenna that is posted separately.
WHEN IN DOUBT, BEACH!
After I closed out this morning’s post, I eventually did get up and get going. The lure of the sun, sand, and waves was greater than the temptation to just bury my head!
I dragged Jason, Jasmine, and Micah with me. Micah has been telling us a little bit about things at the factory.
“I had an idea, and Clay and Sasha thought it was good. I said instead of just tracking what’s coming in, we should track what it’s coming in for. That way, if we know we’re not getting bikini fabric for a few days, we can plan to do one-piece suits.”
“Makes sense,” Jason said.
Micah smiled. “Clay called the software company and asked them to update the tracking program. I got to tell you…It feels really good to have come up with something that everyone likes.”
“I’ve told you like a thousand times,” Jasmine said, “that you’re a lot smarter than you think! You don’t give yourself nearly enough credit!”
I have to agree with her on that. Micah went on to tell us that the factory was exceeding the production goals more days than not. Overall, everyone is very happy.
The plan for now is to spend a few hours doing the beach thing, then go home and clean up. I want to get in a couple of hours of writing work today. Jason is going over to the studio to shoot some commercial work—there’s a little bath and beauty company that makes designer soaps, and he’s going to photograph samples.
After an afternoon of work, we’ll rendezvous at his condo for sandwiches and hang out for the evening.I’ll check back in for a goodnight post, so see you then!
GOOD NIGHT
Stark realization… This is my last Saturday night post as a single person. Tomorrow is my last Sunday at church as an unmarried person.
I’m actually a little speechless about this. I’ll just sit on this feeling and move on.
Today was a good day for me, despite my hesitant start. Jason and I got some good work done. We enjoyed some time on the beach, then relaxed over dinner.
It was simple—just grilled cheese and chips. We washed it down with Cokes (not iced tea this time!).
After dinner we got caught up in a when-I-move-in discussion. We talked for a long time about whether we’d keep his sofa or swap it out with mine. Even though the differences are subtle, we spent a lot of time discussing it.
When we moved here last March, Jason and I ordered furniture at the same time, so there’s really not a lot of difference between what he has and what I have.
Jason and I have recently talked a lot about how things will be when we’re married. A lot of it is naturally private, but I’ll just say that we feel comfortable with the domestic routine that will follow the honeymoon.
Tonight, we talked a little about the honeymoon itself. Again, I’ll keep what we discussed private, and I’ll say only that we’re comfortable with it.
I’ll close with a reminder that I won’t be posting during the honeymoon. If Sasha wants to share a few things along the way, that’s fine, but until we return to port on May 27, I won’t directly post anything.
So spinning back to the countdown… Yikes! Call it six days!
May the big events of your life arrive gently and as planned, and may they lead you always onward toward the best version of yourself possible.
Good night.
Be your best you!

FINAL THOUGHTS
I wanted to add just a very small bit of my conversation with Jason about the honeymoon. I think it’s pretty representative of how we are planning for it.
We were doing the dishes and I suddenly felt brave, so I decided to ask him about his ideas for the wedding night.
“Jason, I know there’s sometimes a lot of hype around wedding nights and… you know…”
Jason clearly had no idea where I was going, so in his way, he responded with gentle acceptance. “I’m looking forward to it.”
Moving on. “I was wondering what you expect. Like… should I get an elegant nightgown and wear it, then tell you to come into the stateroom?”
He looked at me like I was speaking the native language of Antarctica. “Nightgown? Do you… own one?”
Somehow, I felt more relaxed. “I have some from modeling jobs. I actually have a sealed plastic bin full of nightgowns and lingerie.”
Jason took the plates from my hand and put them in the dishwasher, then he looked at me and smiled. “Leave it sealed up. I don’t want a made-up version of you. I want the real you. How many times have you worn sleepwear of any sort since your mom left?”
“The real me? Half the time I don’t know who that is.”
“I’ll be happy with the half when you do.”
That was sort of awesome. “So no nightgown?”
He shook his head. “Just be you. Just be who you are and who you plan on being.”
I never actually answered his “how many times?” question, but if I recall correctly, the answer is seven. Plus a dozen or so times I slept in sweats or jeans when on camping trips and the like.
Message to Paying Supporters:
Thank you for helping support AGI Stories.
I always consider you—the paid members—when deciding how content is shared.
I believe that most of you who help with the costs do so because you want to support the production process and show encouragement. I’m honored and truly grateful.
At the time of this post (not counting hardware or internet costs), expenses run just over $100 per month—so every supporter truly makes a difference.
Nevertheless, I share a lot of content free to all. I believe you understand why. Stories about giving back and helping shouldn’t be exclusive, and key moments need to be accessible for anyone following the stories.
My hope is that sharing a few exclusive photos and small portions of some posts with you serves as a simple expression of gratitude.
With that in mind, again, thank you very much.
