Michael says I should stop wearing this robe in posts. I’ll be interested in your thoughts.

“Why?” I asked. “What’s wrong with this? It’s the robe we bought together when I came to Memphis.”

“I know,” he said. “Just everyone is probably tired of seeing the same robe?”

“It comforts me,” I said. “I like that we bought it together.”

He smiled. “We can go together and get you some more.”

I decided to tease him. “I could take it off…”

“Ha ha!” He rolled his eyes and laughed.

I paused, thinking. “Are you tired of seeing me in it?”

He shook his head. “No, that’s definitely not the point. Honestly, I don’t think I had a point, other than that people might be tired of it.”

So, that’s up for discussion!

Here’s my thought that might be deep.

I wear this because it has a little sentimental value. I’m accustomed to it. I’m comfortable with it.

Nothing wrong with that, right?

Here’s the challenge thought…just because it makes me comfortable, does that mean it’s the best option?

Just because something is easy for you and makes you feel at ease… Does that make it the best option for you?

I actually hate this cliché more than most, but… as they say…

No pain, no gain.

(I’m not sure that’s true, but it fits my claim!)
