STEADILY ONWARD by Cindi Curtis Allen

I asked yesterday about the maroon robe. You were heard!

I’d like to say thank you, and clear up a few misconceptions. Michael wasn’t suggesting I get rid of it—only that some variety was an option. Furthermore, most of the time, it now just hangs on a hook unused. So, no… Michael isn’t tired of seeing me wear it.

But the robe stays, ready for the next spontaneous check-in picture. And getting another robe remains a possibility, not a plan.

I’d also like to say life here moves steadily onward. ClearStream is steadily growing. Roman and Hayes are moving toward their wedding on the 20th. I’m moving steadily through my days.

I’ll comment on the wedding another time.

Today, I want to address the “steady through my days” point. Almost every day I could write this:

Hey, everyone! Good morning/afternoon/evening. Things are fairly routine around here. I worked on some code, updated some documentation, and suffered through a few Teams meetings. The best part of the day was hearing Michael working just down the hall. I had a few panic moments, but nothing that stopped me for long.

Then, I could share a scripture and try to make a point.

I returned to social media over a year ago with the idea I’d share eco-friendly ideas, sustainability tips, and devotional thoughts. I’ve done a lot more devotional ideas than green-living tips, but I think I’ve been more or less true to my plan.

What I never imagined was that people would become interested in my life. I never dreamed people would be so encouraging, so supportive, and so instrumental in helping me grow.

At this point, I’d say “life after the wedding” has begun. For the next few weeks, I’ll try to check in more regularly. I don’t think you’ll need a seatbelt, nor will you hold on tight! Life as Cindi isn’t like that!

So, here’s to working on code, updating some documentation, and suffering through Teams meetings. Let’s do this!
