Well, it’s the day of the cookout. Everything today is going great, but something happened last night that I’ll tell about another time. It’s got to do with me cutting the yard. It’s not bad, really. I just think it’s something to share.

Michael and Cindi brought two folding tables and eight folding chairs. Roman and Hayes brought all the meat and buns. Jordan and Carter brought everything else! And they sure brought a lot! I made brownies for dessert.

In case you don’t know, Roman and Hayes got married the same day me and Noah did. They just got back from their honeymoon—they had a week in Bora Bora, and they say it was real fun and relaxing. That’s where they got engaged, so they thought the honeymoon there would be nice, too.

That means Jordan doesn’t have a roommate anymore. She says she’s fine, though. Carter comes to her apartment on most workdays, and they use her living room like an office.

Carter is in graduate school, and he’s living at his parents’ house in Germantown. He says he has things set up nice, and can come and go without bothering his folks.

I guess you already know that Cindi and Michael have a house in Bartlett. Roman and Hayes are living in Roman’s condo, which is off Poplar near Goodlett.

Well, everyone came all the way out here for the cookout!

It’s nice to see how they all get along. It’s even better to feel like they are including us in their friend group!

I’m real glad Hannah had the idea to get Merritt to introduce us to the people he knows here in the area. Just knowing some names and being able to reach out if something happens gives us a lot of peace of mind.

I’m sure we’ll try to find time to visit with them every now and then!
