BUSY WEEK by Kaylee Branch

Thursdays usually aren’t real busy with cleaning checkouts but it’s 5:00 and I just got done with the last job half an hour ago. Our little business, First Call Property Services, is so blessed right now, we can’t hardly keep up.

Me and Isaac do most of the work, but this week, we’ve called Mr. Geven about doing handyman jobs every evening. He’s about as excited by the growth as we are.

I could’ve used Emily Amos’s help yesterday and today, to be honest. She’s got a friend named Jenna Mercer who I talked to, but she had to get her appendix out, so it will be next week before she can start helping.

We’re doing more and more repair jobs, so today, I had to clean by myself. Well, Hudson was with me.

Isaac had a long list of screws to tighten, holes to patch, and the big job was replacing hinges on all the doors in one of the units.

We’re still thinking about what to do when Hudson outgrows the crib. Well, that time’s coming, and we’ve got some money saved, but right now, we’re okay. He can get out of the crib if we leave the side rail down, and he can get back in, too. So far, everything is okay, but we know it’s not the best.

Honestly, we’re so busy, we couldn’t move if we had a place to go.

Well, I’m going to take my shorts off and swim a little, then I’ll go get Hudson and let Isaac have some downtime before we go to bed later. That’s how we do it, and so far, so good.
