WARDROBE—from 2026-07-15

On a big shoot day, an empty set means wasted time, so getting the models dressed and ready at least a few seconds before they were needed was a huge gain in efficiency. It took planning and teamwork.

And when possible, some creative strategy.

Sasha checked the master shot schedule as she started for the dressing room. She handed the iPad to Jasmine.

“Izzy’s up for the blazer set,” she said.

Ailana looked at the men. “Time for you guys to go to Sea Glass. Bring me back an iced tea.”

Sasha hurriedly started changing while the shooting continued.

The shot list called for Izzy to be shot in two different pairs of pants with four different blazers—some with khaki pants and some with gray.

Geoni got the first shot she wanted.

With the guys gone, Izzy could change blazers on set, so Ailana took a dark gray blazer from the rack as Izzy started to change.

“Wait…” Jasmine double-checked the shot list. “That one is for khaki pants. Grab one of the other two.”

Ailana put it back as Izzy waited.

In the dressing room, the race was on. Sasha was supposed to be back on set while Izzy changed from gray pants into khaki.

Then, Sasha would take the iPad and track progress while Jasmine changed outfits for her next shot.
