MORE POOL TIME—from 2026-07-26
Hannah rolled over to tan her back and let the poolside afternoon settle around her.
Her thoughts were far from profound. She wasn’t thinking about the future, the past, or anything she should be doing. For once, there was no list running in the back of her mind. No next step. No problem to solve. No quiet pressure to be useful.
There was only the warmth of the sun, the soft texture of the towel under her arms, and the blue shimmer of pool water just beyond her line of sight.
She drifted near sleep and let her thoughts meander wherever they wanted to go. Prominent among them was how glad she was that Addison had thought of coming to the pool.
It was such a simple idea. That was probably why it worked.
Soft sun. Cool water. A friend close enough to suggest doing nothing for a while.
Hannah decided there were worse ways to spend an afternoon.
ONE MORE—from 2026-07-26
Jordan Warner was pleased that Cindi had agreed to post a pool picture. She was even happier when Cindi agreed to let her share one more.
