Ailana had a big day ahead of her—she planned to spend most of it exploring The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

First, however, she had pictures to take.

She got up and put on the oversized white T-shirt she had worn for the previous night’s goodnight chapter. Once she had taken the picture for her good-morning post, she removed it, showered, and did her hair.

Then, before starting her makeup, she put the same T-shirt on again.

By that point, the shirt had been photographed twice, slept in once, removed twice, and still had one final job: protecting the clothes she actually planned to wear.
