GOOD MORNING by Ailana Geven Keller
Here we are already in the middle of the week. So far, things are going pretty well.
Jasmine and Kaylee are in Seattle and will check in later. I’m meeting with Sasha to start the process of getting contracts in place with all of Naomi’s X-Team models—Naomi will be on the calls with us to help. Otherwise, with one exception, it’s business as usual.
The big exception is that Josh and Geoni are well into the process of adopting Aria. One concern they had was housing, so they have contacted the owner of the vacation rental property next door.
They want to buy it. If the owner doesn’t want to sell, they are willing to work out a long-term lease. There’s no answer from the owner yet.
So, with that report, I’ll bring this chapter to a close. I’ll be back later to let you know how the contracts came together.

THAT WAS EASY by Ailana Geven Keller
Sasha and I are done adding “modeling agent” to the list of things that define AGI Creative. With Naomi’s help, it turned out to be pretty easy.
She provided all the paperwork and materials—contracts, disclaimers, FAQs, and the like. She was on the calls to answer questions. And the models, of course, talked to her about all this on the front end.
Right now, Sasha is over at her house across the street starting lunch for us.
She said, “Make your midday, then hurry over.”
That’s what I intend to do.
After lunch, I’m going to fire up the laptop and get some work done. I always have projects needing attention.
I guess that’s enough of a check-in for now. Just another day in the life…
I’ll be back later to wrap up the day, so see you then.
SEATTLE SHOOT by Kaylee Branch
Me and Jasmine are atop the Space Needle here in Seattle. We got a two-hour lunch break, so we thought we’d share a picture from here.
This morning’s session was different from others we’ve been on. The pace has been super fast.
The session is set up in a meeting room at a hotel—AGI has done that before. The dressing room is the space behind a privacy screen. All we were changing was T-shirts. They had a big table and boxes on the floor and more T-shirts than I could guess.
There are six of us modeling. One on the set. One waiting to go on. The rest of us are changing shirts behind the screen. Four models, body parts flopping and flapping, arms flying… One girl caught an elbow to the side of her head, but she’s fine.
After we change tops, we slide over to where someone touches up our hair, then we get in line to go on set.
The photographer isn’t asking for much. “Give me something. Smile. No smile… Okay, good.”
In a way, it feels like school picture day, but with the same six of us changing T-shirts as fast as we can.
They got different colors. Different styles. Some are graphic tees.
All of it’s going into some T-shirt company’s web catalog. It was fast and hectic all morning.
When we broke for lunch, the art director said the afternoon would be about the same, but with sundresses. She said they’d be hanging on a rack by size so we could change fast and get back on set.
Jasmine and me fly home tonight, and we’ll be part of Naomi’s shoot at the AGI Studio tomorrow. When that’s done, we’re going to spend a little of the pay on a nice dinner out with Micah and Isaac.
Honestly, this whole thing is kinda exciting. See you next time.
GOOD NIGHT by Ailana Geven Keller
Sasha and I are out for a walk after dinner. We’re at the Laguna Boulevard Boardwalk.
I want to take a moment to embarrass her.
Sasha and I met not long after I started this social media journey. There was an awareness project for a housing assistance program. She was the project manager.
We connected on that project, then not long after, she reached out asking if my adventures could benefit from someone handling logistics. From then on, she’s not only kept things going, but also become a great friend.
Looking at all the chapters over the last two years, that might not stand out. But Sasha—and Geoni, too—have been with me through everything. Our relationship isn’t dramatic. You could miss it if you didn’t know it was there.
But it has been steadfast.
The Journal can’t possibly record every detail of every day. It is in those unreported details that our friendship lives. Every day, we share ideas, concerns, worries, and proud moments. We share meals, discuss projects, and talk about our hopes, fears, and dreams.
Steadfastly…
And I bet you have friends like this, too. Friends who are there quietly being part of your life through thick and thin. Friends who undramatically add value and meaning to your life.
Right now, I’m taking a moment to tell Sasha what she means to me. Maybe there’s someone in your life who deserves to know how you feel, too.
Good night.
Be your best you!
