FEELS REAL NOW by Emma Vale

I won’t be long. I’m between classes now, then I have work after. I wanted to check in, though, so here I am.

The regular fall term has started now. I finished the second summer term, and that went fine. This is the beginning week of the regular fall semester.

I guess I am settled in for the long push. If I stay on track and get the classes I need, then everything looks good for me to start at the University of Memphis a year from now. I’ll probably have to take some summer classes next summer, but that’s fine.

Sometimes I mention things my granny said. Well, I had two, naturally, and called them both Granny.

Mom’s mother used to say, “If you want to get somewhere, it won’t happen if you ain’t walking. Don’t matter if you go fast or slow, but you gotta keep walking.”

I kinda feel like that right now. I’m walking. There’s a long path ahead, but I’m on my way.

Thanks for reading my story! See you next time!
