JOB WELL DONE—Extra Content from 2026-09-06

The work in the Bronx took up most of two days, but in the end, the outcome was very satisfying to Hannah and the rest of the group. Two families’ homes were in better shape thanks to around 160 work-hours contributed by the Pay It Forward Society.

Hannah’s hands were tired and she was sure she would find sore muscles she’d forgotten existed. Overall, she didn’t feel too bad. Her turn in the shower, she thought, would be her last task of the day.

A few minutes later, Addison appeared—robe half-on, half-off—in the open doorway between the bathroom they shared and Hannah’s bedroom. Addison was holding up the paint-stained shirt she’d worn earlier.

“Shower’s all yours, and I’m starting another load for today’s clothes. I got your pants in. Put your top in and start it.”

The bathroom between the two bedrooms also housed the washer and dryer. As Addison backed away, Hannah moved past her, tossed her tank top into the washer and turned her attention to the shower that waited.

Most SPECIAL REQUESTS are inspired by ideas readers have shared, often as variations of moments, images, conversations, or character reactions from previous posts. They may include additional images, expanded story context, extra scenes, or a closer look at how a character responds to something in the storyline. In some cases, they extend the core storyline, and if so, they are shared with all members.Overall, SPECIAL REQUESTS should feel both visually rewarding and narratively relevant.
