I mentioned before that I really enjoyed the Haunting of Hill House and I was excited about the second season - The Haunting of Bly Manor. Blah!

The season is completely unrelated to the first (so you can watch them out of order, or not at all..) but they re-use a lot of the same actors.

I just didn't really enjoy it! The story was so confusing and strange, and really didn't explain the "rules" of the universe. The acting, sets, cinematography were all great! But the story was a big let down.

Oh well! Happy Spooky Month!

Horror isn’t my thing unless it has something more going on. Since it’s on basic cable in the US, I’m sure it’s more suspense than horror, but have you watched any of the American Horror Story seasons? Trying to decide if it’s worth a binge watch. I probably forgot if you mentioned it before.

Completely agree! I was thinking about it earlier today & I’m still confused by it! I liked episode 8, purely because the story was pretty linear in that episode 😂

Not what I was expecting in this movie. Had my expectations to high.

You should try watching Spontaneous on VOD. It's about a school where students heads are exploding.

Alanna was it a not good because you thought it should be as good as the first one which is never a good thing to hope as you know the first of anything be it film/book/song or writing as you have fresh ideas and you dont have to worry about reusing ideas

I haven't seen AHS, actually! Always meant to but never got around to it. It's still on the list to-watch, but not super high up on the list lol

I think the story was bad - I tried to keep my expectations low since it's not fair to compare the seasons together! But it still was bad.
