Happy Saturday, everyone! This week I tried making TimBits for the first time. It went as well as you can imagine.

Here's the recipe I used.

Has anyone made homemade donuts before??

Always love your cooking videos & this is one of the best 😂 You get anxious, cut corners & don’t always have the right tools & yet everything seems to work out okay in the end, remember that next time you try something & if it doesn’t work, at least you can say you had a go! 😄 P.S. anyone else think we need a Twitch drinking game? Shot for every scream? 😂

This video was great! You're always so funny! Thank you for making the video! Hope you have a nice weekend!

A shot for every Anyhoo as well. If you did ever make Timbits again all you need to get the right size portion of dough is two spoons ( Dessert spoons or soup spoons ) you scoop the dough up with one spoon then scrape. it off with the other into the oil, although i think the mishappen ones look quite nice.

Thanks Alanna, that was hilarious! Your brink of disaster cooking shows always make me laugh. A pan of boiling oil amidst the chaos added a new terrifying dimension to your kitchen. I'm pleased you survived, and as ever the outcome was a complete triumph. Thanks again for the laughter. Take care.

That was a lot of fun, but you'd need a hell of a lot of kitchen stuff that you'd probably only ever use once in a blue moon - so given all that I'd say it was a success. Did they all get binned after you stopped filming, or does your other half get fed your experiments (happens to me all the time!)? Have a good week😀

I really would like to try the drinking game. But I fear for my life! Also, my whisky stash is down to 8 bottles. Will that be enough? 😊 Just kidding, great adventure! Hope you took a nap after cleaning the kitchen.

That was hilarious, Alanna! If Edenbridge doesn't work out I'm sure you can get a Saturday job down at your local chippy - 2 cod and chips please! Catch you on the next stream. Take care!

You have done Tim Hortons proud! You probably be finding dough splotches in your kitchen for weeks to come....😂

So much foreshadowing, we should call you JJ Abrams. Did you partner try them? Also, yes the first rule of Alanna's Cooking Club is you don't talk about Alanna's Cooking Club.

OMG that was hilarious! My mother was a baker at the Tim Hortons that is now the OnRoute just before you reached my hometown on the EB 401 so she had the industrial stand mixer. Between this and the Wiggles covering Tame Impala my weekend has been made! I do have some questions for the person who wrote the article with the recipe. Timbits...are the pride of Canadians and are one of the country’s must-try culinary specialties and saying Tim Horton was a field hockey player 🤣🤣🤣

The slow-mo shot was hilarious 😂 I'm so glad you didn't break the balloon whisk attachment of your hand blender, as they are not build for stiff mixtures like dough. I'm speaking from experience as I've broken a whisk attachment that way! Not quite Timbits, but my Co-op local had Timbit sized mini-donuts coated in chocolate the other week😋

Andy McGarty

Alanna, Kudos for using hot oil. You are braver than me. I reckon if you used the two spoons to size them you'd have been spot on. I'm tempted to give it a go. Well, I would apart from my fear of hot oil!

I ordered some Tim Bits after watching this yesterday :D Love them..and French Vanilla too.
