Not Uprooted related, more of a half-serious question about Avantris lore for Mikey. There’s a continent on Avantris called Chaac. Chaac (and other various spellings) is also the name of a Mayan rain god and the main one to whom human sacrifices were made. If anyone’s been to Chichén Itzá and been to a nearby cenote (aka a giant sinkhole in the ground that is partially filled with water), the sacrifices that used to be in the cenote were to Chaac. This begs the question: Mikey, are there cenotes/water pits full of bones in Chaac? Inquiring Avantris Fam minds want to know.
